well today we got some upsetting news, hubby has a minor medical condition and they asked him to get a letter from the doc who did his medical for some info. Was really upsetting cuz now it has me thinking that it will set us back a couple months. Has anyone heard of this before? It's had me thinking that if this dint happen that he mightve got the pp call I dunno what to think now

The only reason why they would ask "im not an expert" would be for them to ensure that there was no glitches they are only checking and following up on it. They are working on your application and remember to breath, everything will turn out fine....

Yes, I did apply for my step-daugher, she is also on our application. they requested a letter that is signed by justice of peace that she can travel to foreign....and also requested ppr....

My husband is on his way to kingston tomorrow night and will drop off on Thursday....then all we do is wait, wait, wait....not too sure how long of a wait though...but were so excited...

yes this process isn't fully over until we get a stamped passport then final stage will be booking flights....

Hey Lilmaya I'm here hanging in and praying to God we hear some news soon. It looks like KG is on a roll! Exciting but worrisome all at the same time. I'm starting to wonder if they forgot us. We havent heard a thing since Nov. This process has truely taught me patience.

My coworker did allow me to see the good in long distance relationships. She said the relationship is always on high. When you're with hubby every moment is cherished like its the last. You don't want the moment to end and when you're apart its this burning desire to be together. The flames are always burning and the passion is so strong near and far. She quickly reminded me (joking) that it all changes when hubby is around 2/4/7 and you just need some space! She made me laugh and I did think about how true that is! I still feel like i'm in the honeymoon stages despite being together for 4 years. Now that's a blessing.

Congrats to all those who've recieved good news! This is great! KG is truely working hard and pray to God that the momentum keeps up for the rest of the week. KG is truely unpredictable. I'm not even gonna try and figure them out anymore. I am wondering though if whene people get calls from KG if its from an unknown number.

Mrs Proper: I guess you have to look at the positive that 1.) Mr. Proper's medical condtion is only minor and he's going to be ok and 2.) Your file is being processed and looked at where as there are many who have yet to hear a word.

Get well soon Props! Remember any news is good news. They are all up in your file!! Hang in there!

Can-Indy-Jam: Your story can give a lot of hope to those sponsoring children. They always say that really slows things down but apparently not!! Passport drop offs have been really reasonable lately. I don't think you will wait longer than 2 weeks so Hubby and Daughter will be home before month end!!!

ebonyshine : My Girl!! So glad to see you. 11 months later you are still keeping your faith strong and finding the postive in a bad situation. You are a very strong woman and i'm proud of you girl. I think you have the prayers of everyone on the forum... you deserve NEXT!!

Hey asked previously...don't think anyone saw it though. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get a file number so your officially able to keep track? Its been like a month now and according to the immigration lady within a month and a half to two months it should be sent to Kingston. So I'm just curious at what point we might be getting that from them.

Wow, lots of movement this week. Guess all that easter chocolate has people in KGN energized. I sure hope they keep the pace and reach out to a few more of us. My hubby and I are sure getting tired of "watching the paint dry" ...as we call the waiting. :-\ On an upnote my step son is cutting his back teeth which is keeping hubby busy and we got us a pig. Her name is Charlotte and she is gonna give us lots of baby piglets some day LOL

C'mon KGN........we are practicing as much serenity as possible but losing our patience LOL.....let's throw a lifeline to more of these families this week.

Smoothies - you will get a file # (or can use your receipt #) to check ecas. This usually is not possible until after your sponsorship has been approved. They don't usually update ecase until about 1 month in to the process which is about the average time for sponsor approval. Then it is "welcome to the KGN line". Hope that helps

Mr and Mrs Proper stay strong... i know it is hard specially right now as you heard bad news but lets keep in mind that medical problems don't mean that Mr. proper will not be able to migrate... there was some movement on your file and lets hope for a quick call back for pp drop off proper I hope you get better my man, take care of yourself and stay strong

smoothiesqueen yes it does indeed take 45 days they are processnig applications received up to march 28 here is the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp once you are approved as a sponsor you will gain access to ecas and will get ur client id number... then once your file reaches in kinsgton your hubby will get a B#

Mrs Proper...I think its awesome that you've heard something. I agree it means KG is working on your file. Get the info they're requesting ASAP and pray to God for a quick turn around!

Lonely_wife- lol...hubby never gets calls from unkown numbers and he recieved one yesterday and didnt answer the damn phone. I could kill the man (but that would be pointless) lol Not getting my hopes up but I sure hope a letter in the mail will follow.

Thanks ladies!! Oh he was all over it today, he got the letter and was at the docs in an hour! lol It'll set us back a few weeks but im hopeful that july or august will be our time!!

jahlove... my dear i am definatly better just coughing when I get hot lol today at work at one point my body was getting hot in my office and I tell you the coughing was increasing but overall I feel so much better... my buckleys sure helped lol hahaha
