New Zealand PNP wait time

I'm a New Zealander applying for the BC PNP.

Sent in application: August 24, 2013
Acknowledgement of receipt: September 3, 2013

Processing time: 8-12 weeks.

Still no word from them. Should I be worrying yet?

My current IE visa expires at the end of January. Is there anything I should be doing in the meantime?

What happens if I have still not received it by the time my current visa expires? And what is the next process?

contact the BC pnp office and inquire about your case since its past their average processing times.
meantime you have to try securing an LMO in case your nomination doesn't come before work permit application.
please note LMO processing time is lenghty now days not to forget about the strict process so you have a very little time and need to act pretty fast if you intend to extend your stay in canada.

LMO? I already have a secure job and this was completed with the PNP application. Or am I missing something?

secure job is a requirement for BC pnp to apply for nomination.but to apply for work permit extension if you do not get nomination before your work permit expiry date you need an LMO its the most important requirement for CIC without it your application will be refused.
your employer has to apply for lmo at the service canada.

Ok thank you. Is it my responsibility to apply for this or is it my employers job? And where can I get the application forms etc?
Is it a work permit extension or the LMO I need to apply for?
