Hi All,

I am moving to move to Monteral from New Jersey next month. I am planning to get a rental truck from NJ to Monteral and then drop the stuff in Monteral and then next day drive back to NJ and will pickup my CAR and Family next weekend.

My H1B petition is valid till Sep 2017 But my H1B visa stamping is expired. I have few doubts and questions, If you please help :--

1) I think as part pf AVR , I can travel to Canada upto 30 days and I don't need visa for Canada. Am I right ?
2) While entering in Monteral, Canada -- is there separate lane for rental trucks or is it same where CARS travels ?
3) While entering in Monteral, Canada -- Should I tell Canad border officer that I am going to drop the stuff and travel back ?
4) My home stuff will be release on same day right ? and they don't take any further time/days for checking etc etc right ?
5) While coming back to USA -- again is it same CAR lane or diff lane for rental truck ?
6) I can inform USA border officer that I am going to pick up my Family and other home stuff or you think anything else please ?

Please provide your advice and help me on this.

Thanks,
Sumit

I'll help with one question. AVR is a US document and it does not allow entry into Canada. To enter Canada, you need a visa exempt passport, a valid visitor visa or you need to have a COPR and use it to land when you enter Canada. It sounds like you will be landing when you enter Canada - so you'll be fine.

Hi,

My landing was already done 2 years back. I am now moving to Canada permanently from USA. I do have PR cards.
Can you please answer this now ?
