Hi everyone,

Wow- I'm shaking a bit. Just went to check my mail at the mailbox and I had a large package from New York Cosulate which is doing our application after buffalo transferred there three weeks ago.

I almost thought the whole application was sent back- we received our bank statements and all of our photos back. I mean that was quickly for them to do that.....don't your think? Do you think this is a good sign? or a bad sign? They send all of our photos- and bank/telephone statements back to us and greeting cards. .... why would they send it back a week after they received our application from buffalo?

Thanks.

This is really fast considering your application was transferred to NYC on 23rd June. Didn't you get a PPR or a reason why the application was returned?

No, no letter nothing in the big envelope...the thing is my post office opens it here because its from a international destination so I know they are sloppy here chances are they lost it.......or NEW york never sent it.....

It's very fast...this is my timeline-

May 1 Application received in Missassaga
May 28 Decision Made and application sent to Buffalo
June 10 Buffalo Received Application
June 23 Transfered to New York
July 8- We received our photos and other originals back

just to point out the application was not returned....just the original stuff...

they have everything else. YOu can tell they have looked at everything over and over everything was very wrinkled and had wholes as it had been in a binder

Hi!

For me if they sent you all that is because maybe they dont want to stay with the original. I receive a while a go a letter from buffalo telling me that they received my papers and that they were working on it. Also in that envelope they send me my original BC and Police certificate.

Are you sure they didnt send you any letter??

I know that the embassy in Buffalo doesnt accept phones calls.. had you try to call the embassy in N.Y.??

Wich you the very best.....!!!!

Our documents came in a big envelope....we looked at all the documents and ensured that no letter was in there. We could not find any letter. MY common law spouse are sure they just dont need it any more as we put together an excellent file. However, I'm wondering why they would send all this stuff before a decision was made...or if they need an interview would they not need to look back at everything?

I don't know I just hope my application is not going to get denied/ I just think everything was done so fast.

My husband received prepaid phone cards back but they have sent a letter and explaining why they wouldn't accept them. it's weird and I believe perhaps they forgot to include the letter inside. Hopefully you can contact the and good luck...

I don't understand why they would not accept our photos or bank statements...I mean clearly it is needed and is important part of the file

It's not they didn't accept them but rather they don't need them as a proof and they want you to have them back. I believe it's a positive sign rather than a rejection.

It's funny how I always thought the application would be like sitting on top of someone desk for likes weeks if not months until they touched it. Seems like they got their hands on my application as soon as it arrived there.

In my opinion you must had provided a lot of proof and your file is well organized which it does make it easier on the IO to make a faster decision when everything is there and in order.

I have to admit our application was amazingly well organized. My partner was home an entire week from work printing labels and ensuring everything was correctly organized.

I hope that helped.

It didn't happen to me but they had requested additional documents and to pay PPR after 1 month and half of process. I thought it will take forever but I was surprised.
I sent everything and we are waiting. Just to let you know I'm dealing with different Visa Office.
May I ask what's the normal process time for you???? For my husband is between 4-8 months.
