yea true, I guess ill just have to buy a more expensive ticket the closer the date is

Curious if anyone has their 'progress bar' working in the portal? seems to be disabled for some
I think it's a gimmick. I just can't imagine it working....

Hi, I from Colombia
My husband live in Canada and my process is out Canada
I applied PR and TRV
This is my timeline
November 11, 2022 I applied PR
November 12, 2022 they received application
January 20, 2023 they sent confirmation
January 25, 2023 they sent biometrics
January 27, 2023 I complete biometrics
January 27, 2023 they sent a police certificate
January 28, 2023 a police certificate was requested from the designated entity
February 13, 2023 they received a police certificate
February 17, 2023 they asked to link the application
April 19, 2023 they sent medical exams
April 20, 2023 I took the medical exams (x-rays, blood tests)
May 2, 2023 I go to the doctor
May 11, 2023 the medical exams were completed on the platform
May 12, 2023 they asked for documents but due to a system failure they never warned us
June 7, 2023 I applied for the TRV
June 8, 2023 we asked IRCC what happened that we didn’t get anything
June 14, 2023 they sent a list of documents (which they sent on May 12)
June 15, 2023 we sent required documents
June 16, 2023 eligibility changed to in process
June 22, 2023 Visa got denied because I didn’t have strong ties to my homecountry and they believe I will stay in Canada illegally (which doesn’t make sense since I have a PR process) and also because I didn’t specified departure dates from Canada.
Also, The decision letter that they sent seems very generic

This is really unfair, new public policy introduced to reunite families, I think you should definitely contact immigration minister (email).

Thank you for sharing.
What kind of documents were you requested? I wonder if there are issues with pr that they deemed you ineligible at the moment for the trv.
Requested gcms notes to see if they specified more information as of the true reason.

And have you got any updates in trv processing or it just went straight to refused?

You are a perfect candidate to apply for a TRV under the new measures.

You have to mention the new measures in your letter.

Submitted since 30th May biometric and medical where already there and no update since after confirming that they received application. And for spousal sponsorship no update since April 19. I am hopeless.

*I sent my funds, acknowledgment letter when started PR (AOR), nacional identification, passport, marriage certificate
*In my PR is fine
*it just went straight, didn’t send updates

The question in TRV was: Tell us more about what you'll do in Canada. Include dates.
My answer was: I will be joining my husband in Ontario and then I will apply for a work visa in order to get a job. I will be working while we wait for the permanent residence.

I am afraid now, I mentioned the same, I even included a letter, thought this process will make my mind peaceful.

Applied for spousal sponsorship in Nov 2022 and received pre-arrival email in April 2023, no sign about PPR yet

Hope IRCC will optimize their performances in the future.

Zame here no update after 18th April. Which visa office processing your application? Mine is London visa office.
