A question out of the topic for you. How did you actually know that fingerprints were received by CIC? Did you contact them?

First, I contacted the RCMP - Forensic Science and Identification Services. They informed me my application had been processed and submitted to CIC.
Then a couple of days later I called CIC call center and the agent told me the fingerprints had been received.

Please don't vent your anger on each other. We all are suffering due to few cheats who try to manipulate the system. Waiting is hard but stay positive and try to do positive things to make Canada a better place.

We all came to this country for a better life, let us make it better for everyone.

Citizenship should not be given to just about everyone. I want the canadian citizenship so that I can feel I am 100% part of this amazing nation.

Many are just here to get the passport and leave, and whenever things get bad where they are from, they can easily come back and abuse our health system and so on, all paid with our taxes.

Your frustration is understandable. I am hoping that with the new rules, things will speed up since applicants are now required to submit more documents to prove their ties with Canada.
Unfortunately, many people have been abusing Canada's Immigration system, and it's all finally coming to light now. I hope many of these people get scrutinized, and get what they deserve.
