Hi,

If applied from Pakistan in May 2006.

If I withdraw my old application and apply again. Will the new application be processed faster?

According to the old system under pakistan it shows it takes at least five years to process 30% of applications.

Is there a separate que for new applications?

Your advise will be helpfull

Thanks,

Amir

The new system should be faster. You need to check if you qualify to apply under the new system. If you choose to apply under the new system, you can keep your old application as well if you want. You can cancel your old application at the time your new application has gotten to a point that you know it will be approved, say when they ask you to do the medical.

Thank you domingo and Leon for your replies.

One thing that confuses me is that are they really maintaining two different ques at the embassy?

Why does the CIC website still report only the old processing times?

Regards,

Amir

Yes, they are really maintaining 2 different queues at the embassy. I expect that they will at some point post timelines for the new system as well but right now, it has not been around long enough.
