Hi Guys, Congrats to all 22nd DEC,16 ITA receiving candidates.

Can any one of you enlighten!!

" A job offer now only need to be for a minimum of one year from the time you become a permanent resident. "

I have received ITA as Canadian express entry with 50 points award (As intra company transfer), I am in work-permit working for a company in Canada -ontario for last 1.5 yrs in NOC -A. We get our offer letter extended for one year /every year.

I have minimum of 1.5 yrs work experience in canada. My second extension/deputation/offer letter is valid up to August 2017.

Now My question what I need to provide is:
1. Do we need to provide an offer letter-ref letter ( duration valid for 1 yr)to CIC while submitted my PR profile?
or
2.Do we need to provide an offer letter (duration valid for 1 yr)to CIC after I get my PR in hand?
or
3. Is the duration of current offer letter (Jul2015 to Aug2016 (with 1 yr validity- duration) is enough?

a. What if I don't an extension after August 2016, Will my chances of getting PR stays -since I have current offer which is valid for 1 yr duration at the time I am submitting my PR profile?

Appreciate advice. 1st batch of ITA holder of new rule with CRS -497, How are you guys proceeding.

Tnx.

At the time of getting ITA you did NOT have an offer letter (dated before ITA date) saying you will have your job for at least one year after landing as PR!

So you are not eligible for that 50 points. Lying amounts to misrepresentation.

Have you seen the document checklist? It will state exactly the information that the job offer must have.

I am in already in Canada working, My company gave me offer letter. I have my work permit. So does not it mean I have offer letter? The statement is also is very confusing as it says a valid job offer after getting PR. Who knows when u will get the PR and that time if u have a job offer and that it will be for more than a year.

You won't be awarded the 50 points unless you have a letter stating that you will have a job for at least one year after landing. If you can't get such a letter from your employer then you will need to decline the ETA.

Thank you. So what I understand is ,will have to get another offer letter, which I have to produce at the time of landing, after receiving my PR card. Correct me if I am wrong.

You're wrong. You have to provide and upload this letter in the document checklist.

As explained above - your understanding is incorrect. You need to submit the letter when you submit your application as a result of receiving ITA. You need the letter now.

Thank You for responding. For Inter company transfer ICT , type A, they are awarding 50.You can not join in any other company since your Work permit is company specific. Now for ICT, companies provides offer letter every year for an year depending on the necessity and decide if a employee needs to be here in Canada. If luckily if your new offer letter start date falls on PR landing or what you meant as while submitting the PR form then may be you are eligible(majority case will never have one year since no one can predict the PR or ITA). Or else if Company agrees to give you a open letter stating that you will have one year offer from the date of PR landing. I mean no companies will provide that. So to award 50 points to ICT is of no use as per what I can understand from your view.

That's what you need. If no company provides that then no one gets 50 points. Simple as that.

I think you should be ok if your initial offer letter does not have an "end date". My wife is on ICT visa and her offer letter states she will be employed in Canada as long as she is authorized to work in Canada but the company can send her back to India anytime with 30 days notice.

That letter probably won't suffice. IRCC explicitly asks for a letter from the employer confirming that PA will be employed for at least 1 year from the time they get PR.

If you can't get such a letter from your company, make sure you turn down the ITA.

I can get a new offer letter before my 90 days time to submit my PR form. So I will have total of 1 yrs 3 months offer duration with my new extension or offer letter. Will that be good? I am not yet sure from which date they will calculate 1 yr job offer. If they starts processing late then ? Is it submission date based? But If you read in cic it reads after PR. confused.

If I think of others, and there are so many with ICT who got ITA, they might have got an extension just now or 2 to 3 months before, for an year, those candidates will not be able to show 12 months. I guess for most of us having work exp. min. 1 yrs and ICT, Type A will not yield 50 points without a offer letter of 1 yr at the time of --The BIG question -->PR Submission/PR landing/ PR processing/ PR Verification. Many unknown questions. The CIC site have generalized information, which is not specific. Finger crossed. Not sure if to be happy or sad.

Without an End date in offer letter, how can you get a work permit (as in wp u need company name and end date)or Health card or as such !!
Issue is actually :
To get a offer letter which has 1 yr min?
or
Offer letter with mention of 1 yr. min after PR. Big question.

And
From when one year is the biggest concern? Govt. of canada might want the candidates to be self sufficient for at least one year after PR, so that Govt. does not have to pay for your joblessness after PR. Lot of thoughts...I may say guess.
