New Rule - Immigration granted in a year

Dear All,
As we all know that Canada in November made a new rule that all immigration file after Nov 08 will be processed in one year. The process seems to be faster only in beginning. After paying the fees when the file gets transferred to local office system gets slow.
If somebody can tell me the time lines I will really appreciate that information.
I filed my case in Jan 09 –Nova Scotia and file transferred to Buffalo in Feb 09. Sent in all paperwork. After that there is no response. Do let me know if somebody is facing the same situation. When they will ask for police report, FBI and medical.. What is the process and what time frame are we looking at? rk

Well if you got the 120 day letter from Buffalo you had 120 days to send all the documents including Police Certificates.

Did you received any letter from Nova Scotia ?

There would be file number on it and as PMM said, 120 days to submit your full application.

if not, may be you will receive letter soon but start collecting your documents because your initial application is approved.

can you let me know who is lucky applicant, have received medical request? in which CIC office, did he/she submitted application??

myloveandi applied early january 2009, submitted documents february and received medical request april. visa office is nigeria.
aside from myloveandi all the other applicant who received medical requests were those with job offers.

yes,it is fast processing for Job offers applicant. not for FSW- category1

I got a letter from buffalo in feb to submit all documents..But I have not submitted police clearence. Neither they have asked for it.I have submitted all my paper work though. I am surprised how come people are getting medical letter at this time..

Were you NOT supposed to send police certificates to the local visa office with your full application? Maybe that is why they have been slow (which I do not think). Also, the guy on trackitt who claims has received medical request says he has received an email only not the forms yet! I doubt they can be so fast!

Well, I have noticed that too. CIC London seems to have "kicked off" at the beginning of the year very well but seem to have gone into "SLEEP MODE" Now. (Data Analysis of trackitt.com). It seems as if they are overwhelmed with applications.
But again, for those of us who applied Pre-new Laws, We can still be happy and content as they are way ahead of the time line they gave us all in the AOR letter.
