Hi,I m come back againt with new ? i m planning to apply but recently new rule anounce by CIC, i m quite confuss the below topic,quota symtem,would you plz cerified me in details,if my serials NO cross, above 1000 ,they send back my application or except it.this rule / system make us lot of confussal


If you are applying under one of the 29 eligible occupations, as of June 26, 2010, a maximum of 20,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing in the following 12 months. Within the 20,000 cap, a maximum of 1,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing each year
These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment.

Their first application year under the new rules started on June 26th 2010 and ending on June 30th 2011. Once they reach the quota of 1,000 people for some NOC, they will start sending applications back for that NOC. Once they reach the total quota of 20,000 people, they will start sending all applications back. The next application year starts on July 1st 2011 and then the counter is set to zero again.

If your serial number cross over 1000 then they will send your application back. If have to apply again next year whcih will commence from 1st July 2011.

Is it getting harder and harder to immigrate to canada?

Yes, it is definitely getting harder through the skilled worker program. Now they prefer you to have a job offer. I think if they would have had the rules of today when I was immigrating, I would have chosen to go somewhere else.
