sorry PMM, but I am afraid, you are outdated. Government is seriously after the immigration and marriage fraud lately. Over 3,000 Canadian Citizenships to be revoked (http://www.visaplace.com/blog-immigration-law/canadian-citizenship-applications/3000-canadian-citizenships-revoked/); conditional PR is implemented, or about to be implemented (http://www.canadaupdates.com/content/canada%E2%80%99s-conditional-permanent-residence-curbing-marriage-fraud-18209.html), and you say “complete”.
As a matter of fact I have already contacted couple of lawyers, and they both said, yes it is possible, and both are ready to undertake the case. One of them even said, he has already had a precedent with the similar case.

Even if the Conditional PR was introduce previously, it wouldn't apply in this case, as the marriage has been over 3 years, he was "landed" over 2 years ago. And as I said, both parties reside overseas, CBSA is NOT going to be sending investigators overseas. The "fraud" links you are posting are for (usually) skilled workers who received their PR, "landed" returned overseas, built a fictitious live in Canada and then applied for citizenship while never living in Canada. Has nothing to do with the present post.

Thank you all, guys, again for your support and valuable tips and advices!!
Much much appreciated! I really need it now!
Thanks

Thanks amikety
It's not only about emotional feelings.. I have given to him a part of me. He is also a foreigner in this country where we are residing. When I met him, he had nothing. I helped him to organize his life. I gave him a shelter. I gave him a peace of mind, where he could start his business and focus on it. I helped him with his business too, as I am much more experienced and he couldn't even speak English at that time, which is necessary for running a business in this country and having western clients. I gave him my knowledge and my experience.
I will fight for a justice. As I said, at very least, my case will be another proof of necessity of such law, and hopefully will help to implement this rule at the earliest.

Hi notfromhere

i'm so sorry you had to meet such a evil person that did this, I can not imagine how hard this can be for you, I really hope you get the justice served for that guy that hurt you and took advantage of the situation. Unfortunately its people like him that make things for all of us harder too.
one thing you said that I didn't agree with when you referred "Middle Eastern people" fraud happens everywhere in fact i know a lady friend who had this issue with a guy who was from Europe but she was lucky because things were at the beginning stages and she revoked the sponsorship, so its not right to stereotype. i'm not sure what country your husband is from but he seems like a very heartless person and he surely doesn't deserve you or this country. I'm from the middle east too but I love my wife to death who is a Canadian I love her family we are such close family they are my family and I would do anything for them, there are some bad people in this world and every country or continent has good and bad. I actually have better opportunity in terms of job and money back home but I want to stay here because I love my wife and I know its just easier for both of us to be together here since all her friends and family and work are here and I will happily dedicate my life here to my family and future little ones. it really is unfortunate and heart breaking you had to deal with all this and I hope a light shines for you and brings you happiness.
I hope you the best of luck! I hope you go through the process smoothly. be positive good things will come!

Well as the article says to take away any doubt "The new regulation will apply to all applications received after today"

Definitely a good thing.

Here is the official announcement:

I more meant of spouting being abused by their partner in a real relationship. I'm actually against this because it will give abusers more power... But that's a whole other topic.

Güzelyol, thank you for the link!! This is great news!!

Even if it will apply to the applications received after today, with the help of a good lawyer, there is a big chance for me to win the case! As I mentioned earlier, even before this release, couple of lawyers gave their consent to help me with that. Now, when the proposed rule became a law, they've got an extra powerful tool.

What a great document the Canadian Government has issued!!

amikety, I understand your concern. I believe, they will find the way to resolve the issue with the abusers. USA and Australia are already practicing similar law, and it works!

kitchener_inland, I am really sorry, I didn’t mean to offend the Middle-Eastern people. I mentioned Middle East just because that’s where I am currently residing and that’s what I know from my own experience and from my observation of the situation. It might happen anywhere, I agree, but I am facing this issue here, in the Middle East...

notfromhere: why are you still living in middle-east? For money? Why don't you come back to Canada? What is worth there ? Sorry to ask you this question. But I think you have a very bad feeling about the people there! Right?

Hey, notfromhere

it really didn't offend me in particular but I just think in general judging a huge group of countries or people based on a bad experiences with one person is not right, However I can in a way understand your frustration and pain.
May I ask which country in the middle east is your husband from and you live in? because I'm from north iraq the Kurdish region, and one of my sister is a head of police in the capital and the other sister works high up in the ministry so I can get him investigated and arrested for what he has done to you! as long as you make everything clear to them. if by any chance you are there which I highly doubt please let me know and I will gladly help you.
Canada is my country now and I will help my fellow Canadians in anyway I can.

with this rule in place , if CIC issues conditional prs/visas to spouses in 1-2 months that would be great..I want my wife here and i dont have any problems staying with her for two years before pr..cic already putting lot of stress on genuine couples..so please introduce a new visa category for spouses..a work permit guy can bring his wife without any issue why are you delaying for prs/citizens' spouses applications ?? all other countries (UK, US etc) have special visa categories for spouses..please allow spouses stay in canada and then ask them to apply for pr..that my 2 cents..

regards..

I have to agree with you, that surly is a great idea. if they reduced the timing for real couples at least to give them something to stay and had a better monitoring system/conditions so they can kick out the fake ones.

I'm not aware of a special visa for American spouses. I'm visa exempt, but so are Americans who are genuinely visiting. It makes it easier to stay here, but it's not a "special."
