Hello,

I'm a February 2013 applicant (timeline in profile).

An RCMP Clearance was requested on August 22, 2013. I submitted it on September 24, 2013. I received a response from OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca that it had been received in the office successfully.

Now, today, I received another e-mail asking for an additional document, and it is also an RCMP Clearance.

I'm confused if this is because the previous one is no longer usable (shouldn't it be good for a year?) or if they made a mistake. Would it be wise to double-check with them to see if they overlooked it or should I just go and do a new one and forget about it?

Anyone else in the same situation, or any advice in this matter?

What was the validity period listed on the first one?

I never made a copy. I have no idea what it said.

Just to update, I received an e-mail back from CIC saying I didn't have to submit another as the previous one was still valid. There was no mention of why I received the second request. I suppose they had overlooked the document.

Glad that you didn't have to do it again....
