New Proof of Funds Requirement - Feb 10, 2017

Please see small changes to the required amount needed to show as Proof of Funds as shown here:http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

You will need to show proof that you have enough money when you apply to immigrate.

Number of Family Members Funds Required
1 $12,300
2 $15,312
3 $18,825
4 $22,856
5 $25,923
6 $29,236
7 or more $32,550

You do not have to show that you have these funds if:
-you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada AND
-you are currently working or authorized to work in Canada.

That's not the criteria. POF are not required if:

1 - You have a VALID job offer OR
2 - You are applying under the CEC program.

Then you dont need to show proof of funds!

You can put the amount of funds that you'll bringing to "0" or if you put another number once you obtain your ITA you can upload a letter in the POF placeholder stating that no POF are required as you've been invited under the CEC program.

But s/he will have to provide 6 months bank statements anyways? right?

Nope. Uploading a letter stating "I've been invited under the CEC program and thus, no POF are required" is sufficient

Well the wording of their instructions don't seem as harsh or as strict as the previous instructions.

Maybe its wishful thinking on my part. lol ;D
