Hi, I became a PR in January and I'm still waiting for my card. I called and the agent said that I am past the average processing time but I'll just have to wait. Anyone in the same boat? Is this normal???

Hey There,

Usual processing time is around 60 days, but sometimes due to bureaucracy it can get delayed. If you want to leave Canada, then you could either come back via land with your CoPR and passport, or if abroad you would need to apply for a PRTD (like a visa for PR's) to go back.

If you want plan on staying in Canada, just be patient and try calling every few days. Until you get your PR card you CoPR with passport can be used for most government services.

Please note that PR's in Canada are not required to have a PR card by law, but having one makes like easier.

Hope this helps!

November??? Ok, something is wrong. I have seen people wait up to 3 months. Anything longer than that and I would contact IRCC
