Hello, anyone and everyone reading this..

Mother is from visa required country. Visited Canada in the past. She would like to visit us again, she never spends more than two weeks and I recently found out there Is a program specifically for parents referred to as the supervisa. I’m wondering if I should do that or just have her apply through the TRV. She would never stay here for two years or six months. The point is simply for her to have a visa where she has multiple entries to Canada my problem is I don’t know which one to choose especially since I am a new resident and I have no proof of income yet at all at least I won’t meet the minimum required if I applied within a month or two but my wife does. Does anyone recommend the super visa route or should I let her just try the TRV way?

Hi

There isn't really any point in applying for a supervisa if she doesn't plan to take advantage of the longer stay. She should just apply for a regular multi-entry TRV.

No problem then. I wasn’t sure if there were perks or if it was easier through the supervisa

So my mom and sister tried the TRV and was denied even though my mom visited a few years ago when she didn't need a visa for about 10 days ( not showing enough ties and financial strength) so I'm trying the super visa where most of the responsibilities lay on me.
