Dear Friends,

I just want to confirm that what's the port of entry for new PR immigrant, if they are entering canada
the first time, specially if their final destination is Ottawa. So, is it compulsory to fly via Toronto or directly to Ottawa.
i am pretty confused, need your advice on the same.

and once they reach canada whatsoever port of entry would it be, how long does it take for the Canada Border Agency to
verify the document and stamp and all. does it take more than 2Hours..?

Request the Seniors to put some light into it .

Regards
Tom

I was also under the same assumption, but there are applicants who have successfully landed in Quebec without having any issues. So landing on QC is also a possibility.

Generally, a non-Quebec applicant will have no issues landing in Quebec if they have proof of travel to a diferent province.

If a person has no such proof, CBSA can refuse to land them because they don't have a CSQ.
