Its really difficult to survive each day waiting for the COPR. I uploaded photo and address in confirmation portal on 26th June. Till now I didn't receive any update on COPR. Any suggestions?

AOR: March 14, 2021
Biometrics: March 29, 2021
First Email: May 27, 2021
Portal Credentials: June 1, 2021

Linked PR Card to IRCC Portal: June 26, 2021
PR Card Application Approval: July 15 (Card has been dispatched status in IRCC portal)
PR card in mailbox: July 16 - CPC Sydney

When you have been waiting for more than a year and you see other people get their PR within 6 months , you can help using unprintable language on IRCC. This so unfair and no explanation can justify the frustration and anxiety that people go through in their PR application. Asking people to be patient while others get things done so quick is the worst discriminatory treatment I have seen. I hope they have people on this platform reading the backlash we write about.

- Date received: October 5, 2020
- AOR: April 24th
- Biometrics: April 26 (submitted them the same day)
-Medical report request: May 22nd. Saw Dr on May 25th, he submitted the report on the 28th and it appeared on my profile on the 30th.
- Eligibility passed on June 9th
- Pr portal 1st email: received June 26th 6:13am, replied same day at 6:41am
- Submitted web form asking for update Jul 5th mid day
- Ordered GCMS notes on July 6th at 6pm
- Pr portal 2nd email with credentials: received Jul 8th at 12:59 am, completed everything within 30 minutes
- eCOPR received Jul 8th at 5:15pm
- Waiting for PR card

She‘d have to wait until you receive your PR card. To apply for the travel restriction exemption, the COPR will not suffice as a supporting document. The application process for that exemption itself could also take weeks to months to get approved, hence if you really want to see your mum soon, I‘d suggest you fly out to see her once you have the PR card in hand. Another option is to leave now and apply for a PRTD once you‘re back home.

Correction: As an immediate family member, a written authorization isn’t needed. However, a PR card or a PRTD is still needed as proof. COPR won’t work.

Just an update, I called the CBSA and was transferred to an immigration department. The agent I spoke to confirmed that an eCoPR is enough for my mother to come, and the PR card is not necessary. He put me on hold for a few minutes to confirm it.

As is customary, the gov. of Canada has to be frustratingly inept in their ability to provide any straightforward information that isn't contradictory in one way or another. Their website lists PR card and PRTD as accepted proof, but not COPR. Someone earlier in the thread (a month or 2 ago) tried to apply for the travel exemption for their romantic partner with their COPR and wasn't able to.

I will test my luck in any case with my COPR to get my SO here and will update if it goes smoothly (I believe there's a few people here who've been separated from their family for a long time, and if anyone has any success, please chime in). Please do update if your mum's let in without any issues at the border! Cheers!

Just an update for those with mistakes on their COPR:

At Service Canada, I was able to obtain a permanent SIN with the client copy of the COPR without signing it. I cannot sign the damned thing because of what's written right above the signature line: "I hereby certify that the above statements are true and correct and that I fully understand the conditions imposed".

I also called Health Insurance BC and was told that I do not need to sign the COPR to update my status as a permanent resident. I was told the officer's signature is the only thing they care about.

TL;DR: You do not need to sign your COPR to get your updated SIN or Healthcare coverage (at least in BC).

I received my as well as my spouse PR card but our pr portal status still shows "In review". For example, as I am a principal applicant, my photo status still shows in review, and for my spouse both photo and address status still shows In review. I am not sure if shall I notify CIC or shall I just enjoy my residency

I applied online for self and wife (uploaded eCoPR copy without signing it based on one of my friend as they got it same way) and now yesterday my wife got her perm SIN while they rejected mine :O

Got portal credentials on 20th June and submitted all the details on the same day, T number was generated on 26th June in CIC but have not received the COPR document in the portal. Anyone in a similar situation and got COPR signed document?

Final decision on my application was made on May 7th at Montreal Immigration office.
Secondary office is Etobicoke.
GCMS notes show an ASSIGNMENT DUE DATE which is July 19th. I am assuming and hoping that I will get my copr on that day then! Let's wait and see.
