Not approved means???? Do you mean they initiated email & portal access in the absence of fully approved application?

I’m awaiting since May end as well
I believe so. It’s just a theory. I will confirm it once I receive my GCMS notes next month. I’m not confident to get the PR until August, September.

I’m calling them tomorrow because this can’t be right , why would you not approve an application but set up a confirmation portal . Also it can’t be a coincidence that it happens to be the last week of May applicants that they aren’t issuing COPR’s. And it’s quite unfair how they’ve issued the COPRs to those in June when they forgot about the other individuals in May. Ive been waiting since May 26th and at this rate looks like people that submitted in June are going to get their PR card before those of us in May getting our eCOPRs :/

I have the same feeling. Please let us know what they say. I only got a “your application is looking good” and “the officer has everything to continue working”

Ask for GCMS notes to see what’s going on with the application. I’m already waiting since May 27th. When I called them, they say the application is looking good and they already have what they need to keep working (declaration, photos). I’m thinking that those who receive the ecopr fast are already approved and us not.
If you have received the letter asking you to provide uci, email address, port of entry, etc it means you are approved. It s just a question of officer and work load he or she has. Check ircc site that says so.
All of this is just replacing the interview with immigration officer to confirm your PR. It s not a question of being approved or not.

please careful of what you write otherwise this causes more confusion for people that are already stressed.

People, we are approved, these are just formalities.

Your feeling is wrong.

How the portal works
Once we approve your application, we’ll

  • send you an invitation to confirm
    • if you want to use the portal
    • your email address
    • all email addresses for each person on your application
  • create an account for you (you can’t create one yourself)
  • send another email, after you confirm the above, with a link to the portal and instructions on how to sign in with your username and a temporary password”

A friend received a webform request saying that the application is in progress. When I called they said that the officer had everything to continue working and refused to say that the application was approved. What should I think after this information? That’s why I ordered the notes.

The way people getting a response regarding eCOPR seems completely random. Even in some cases it coincidence as well (seems like, not sure )otherwise how it could be possible that after, getting credential mail, uploading photos and address, some got within an hour, some got in a day or two and many of them waiting from weeks.

You should just read IRCC site. IRCC agents should not be trusted in many cases. The agent only read your gc key account maybe but officers do not send emails for confirmation portal if your application is not approved. I spent a year and a half waiting for IRCC to send us a letter asking my wife and me to apply for csq in quebec and ircc agents always said “application is in progress” and there is no update, while it turned out that the letter was sent many months before, but to the wrong email address.

Just breathe and read:

The webform is just retelling what they see in your online account or general account.
People have been getting ecopr and their application is still in progress lol.

Webforms are almost useless and IRCC agents are the last people to know something at times.

if i trusted them, i would never had known that they sent me correspondence in the wrong email address and now i would be paying for it.

It depends on the officier. The randomness depends on the human being that works on those files.

What happened that you received an email in the wrong address? How did you realize that and fix it?

I really think that most of these starting from the first email up till your pr card is issued has to do with the officer who's been handling your application.
I'll give you an example
4zans got his first email on May 24
Credentials on 27 I think
And still hasn't gotten ecopr

I got my first email on 24th
Credentials May 28
Ecopr June 2nd
Address and Photo still not verified.
So I really think that it depends on how thorough your officer is.

I contacted the deputy of our region in quebec.
His cabinet acted and still acts as my representative since then.

I live in Canada. At the same time, my gcsm notes showed that fact as well
