New PR confirmation portal

Hi @legalfalcon hope you are doing well. As you always have given us right information and direction whenever we are badly in need of it. Many like me in this forum want to know about this.

Delayed ecopr !!!! As you must be aware that now IRCC is doing virtual landing via PR confirmation portal and in my case I got first email for PR confirmation portal on 20 May 2021 after replying to it with requested details I got 2nd email with portal credentials on 21 May 2021. I submitted all the details same day and I haven’t received my ecopr till date. I am CEC inland candidate with inland dependents, AOR January 2020.

There are many others waiting like me, whereas most of the 2021 applicants are getting their ecopr in couple of days or weeks.
What can be the cause of this delay ? As this wait is really making us mad. We are really confused why we, who are waiting for so long are ignored even at this stage.

I just found out that are you in the same situation as mine? I received the 1st portal email on 18th May and received the 2nd on 19th May, uploaded all info on the same day.
BUT!! I received the 1st portal email again on 21st June!

I can imagine what your reaction must’ve been like seeing that first email again. Even though it sucks hard for us, I’m glad I found someone in the same situation. The odds are very likely that we’ll get the COPR at the same time if at all. Did you reply again and hear anything back? Is your case also with very lazy unit, OSC?

No clue. Also in my case I got address and photo submit option first and then declaration in canada. Raise 3 webform in hope that if they forget my case so as a reminder but nothing work so far.

Wow… Regardless of which one you got first, that’s still so f-ing unfair. I’m sorry, mate. Wish there’s something we could do about this. The amount of time you’ve waited just for this is a quarter of the way to becoming a citizen if you’d had got it right away like all the new 2021 applicants. Unbelievable.

Guys i received the PR confirmation portal credentials a week ago. I couldn't log in - it kept saying email pwd combination was wrong then i was moving and i had problems with internet. I just realized today is the 7th day so i tried logging in no chance... Will my application be refused because of this?

I suggest sending this documents to IRCC Ottawa office directly similar to how @IslandgirlSR did. May be that would help. Please send a detailed letter explaining your situation with the help of Attorney and fax it to IRCC if possible. Try with your local MP explaining the situation. May be one or the other options would work in your case.

Thanks my friend , I chose service option and submitted feedback ( complaint ).. waiting since May 28. Let’s see if this helps seek some attention .

(I got my e-COPR through email directly from the VO before receiving the instructions for the portal)

I reply to portal, asking why I got duplicated emails, but no response until now. And I sent inquiry to webform, they replied me an email about how does portal work, they didn’t answer my question. And I also called IRCC, the representative just told me to ignore that email and wait patiently…

Finally received eCOPR! Praise God
Hi everyone! This forum has been very comforting to me and at times made me anxious. But, I would just like to share my timeline and a series of efforts I have made since waiting for eCOPR.

I’ve received my eCOPR at 11:12 AM Vancouver time.
AOR- January 19,2021
1st email- May24,2021(Victoria day)
2nd email- May 27,2021 photo and declaration were updated at this time as well.
ECOPR-22 June ,2021 (11:12AM pacific time )
Visa Office-OSC.
No. of days to eCOPR- 26 days
Efforts- I have sent multiple emails confirming I am in Canada and also attached my photo, I have also left two web forms.
Additionally, I have called twice and same bla bla bla. Then finally, I took my photos again and sent them in the mail with a short letter addressed to the visa office about how long I have submitted my application. This letter was delivered today and soon after is when I received the eCOPR email.
What I summized from my situation is don’t sit and wait on these people to process your application; try and go above and beyond for yourself in any way you can , because I think all these officers are mostly burnt out and there is possibly a lot of human errors and inefficiency that are influencing these delays.
Therefore, I encourage you to help them help you. I am not sure what worked for me but I guess it was me mailing them my photos and a letter.
Also, thank you all for helping me cope with the waiting.
Nonetheless, keep strong my friends and PR will be coming sooner than you think.
