Hi All,

Landed on 14th August, no PR Card Yet. I have checked online status and it says "Complete"

Any idea when I should expect it?

Thanks

Dear ali79uk,

For your information, one of my friend landed on Vancouver on 1 Sept, 2015 and he already received his PR card on 23rd Oct 2015. Total 53 days. you can call to this number 1888-242-2100 if you call inside canada because currently processing time line for PR cards is 44 days. Hope this help.

Hello,

Congrats on your PR. Could you tell me how the PR cad envelop looks like? Does it has sender address listed on the envelope.

My status shows that PR card was mailed 9 days back, but I haven't received it yet. How long it takes to get PR card in mail after it is mailed?

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

I landed on 31st October 2015, and I had to leave to go to my home country in December my husband is there so he will receive the PR Card when it comes in but on the site it said 45 days when I landed n at airport immigration told me 4-6 weeks now its been 2 months. Any suggestion on what to do? Or should I apply for Solemn Declaration Concerning a Lost, Stolen, Destroyed or Never-Received Permanent Resident Card as I need to return to Canada in about 2 months. Any suggestions or tips?

No worries, you can apply for a PRTD at the Canadian Embassy or consul in your home country with all relevant documents of your recent landing, stating you have not yet received your PR Card. With the PRTD you can travel back to Canada.

It is 78 days now. This is strange that they do not put status of Card on website that can suggest at what stage is card on like "In Processing", "Dispatched" etc.

I landed in November 2015 and waiting. I have not called their support center yet due to times Processing time displayed on website.

Has anyone received their cards as per time mentioned on website? Please share your experience. I know all the above posts are old and everyone must have received their cards.

Thanks
Harish Kumar

my parents landed in nov 2015 and still haven't received it yet. Give it to mid February

If we haven't completed our residency obligation of 730 days as I landed like 2.5 months ago and had to leave can we still get approved for a travel document?

Thanks SK. I was in Canada only for 2 days to get PR Validated. I hope that do not have any effect on getting card.

As long as you provided Canadian address. It shouldn't affect it they will still send it. But if you have to come back before you get the card you will have to apply for PRTD

Dear All,

With the new update system on CIC website, is it still possible to check PR card status for individual application rather than the CIC general updates?

Hi all,

My husband just received DM / PPR and we now have to make some decisions in terms of our return to Canada. Our intention is to return to live there permanently but I just started a new job overseas after being unemployed for a year and living with him as a tourist (we weren't sure how long his application would take to process)...he has to land by end of April 2015 however we are thinking to land in Canada sometime in February, visit with family (he has only met my mom in person when she was able to visit us) for a couple of weeks, then return to the UAE to work til the end of December (when my contract is up). In the meantime, we would apply for work in Canada.

I understand the residency requirements - 2 of 5 years...so I assume that we can theoretically stay out of Canada for 2 years after he lands initially...then return to stay permanently. Is this correct? With the employment situation in Canada, it would be nice if we can try and save some money before we return so that if one or both of us are not working when we arrive, we have some money saved.

Also, for the PR card...can we still apply for this once we land...even though we will return to the UAE to finish our obligations? I can arrange to have someone courier the card to me once it arrives....

Thank you so much for your patience as we embark on this next step :)

Hello guys,

I landed on 18 july 2015 and was told that my photos have been rejected in Oct and I have to resend photos according to specs mentioned. I sent new photos according to mentioned specs and it was received by end of oct and yet i havent received my card.

When i call them, they say that they dnt have any news yet and I have to wait. Its been 2.5 months since they received photos(Their system doesnt contain this info but my courier company shows they received it)

I heard that pr card design has changed and on the website now there are even new specs (different than the photo specs that was received in the letter).

What should I do? any advice? Can i lodge a case enquiry some how. If yes, how?
