New PR card

Dear All,

I am a new immigrant landing on May 18 and my PR card is applied upon landing. However until today, I still cannot receive it. Does anyone know how I can check my status and is it normal that the processing time is almost 2 months now? Thank you very much!

The landing date should be April 18, 2015 (not May18)

Here is the processing times for PR Card. It's taking ~67 days for the initial PR Card, so you're still going to wait for a bit longer: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp

I'd suggest that you check whether CIC actually has your address on file...
The officer at the Vancouver airport was "kind" enough to actually not enter the address I gave to her so I found out 2 weeks later that CIC did not have my address in their system. And if you are lucky enough to be actually helped by a CIC call center representative ass#$# you might find out what's the status of your application.

Thanks! I checked CIC website regarding my address. It has been updated. Hope I can receive it soon.

When did you land? and when you called CIC helpline?

Actually i landed on May 26 and my ECAS was changed to COMPLETE, 5th line added on 29th May. Since then, no activity in my ECAS, neither my address is updated in my ECAS.

What do you recommend me to do now?

Well I guess you and shanchu are lucky... cause I have only 4th line in ecas and no new address.
I landed at the end of May too and called CIC abot 2-3 weeks later.
I have no idea what you should do ))) most likely wait. What does your 5th line say?

Well, my address is still to be updated.

5th line say, you landed in canada on May 26, 2015 on Calgary International Airport and became Permanent Resident.

When you called CIC helpline, what they replied or informed you?

They told me to keep checking the internet ...
So - do you see your canadian address when you go to the "address notification/change of address" page?

As i worte in my last message, that my address is yet to be updated.

I don't know when this address will be updated in ECAS

Hi,

I have landed on 25th of April 2015 at Toronto Int Airport with my wife and stayed 26 days in toronto for my PR card. I only manged to get my SIN and G1 driving card and returned to my country on 19th of May. Already 2 months passed but no update on my PR card.

I have checked my ECAP, which shows COMPLETE status with my new address which I have provided during my 1st entry. Also 5th line added in my ECAP.

However, I havenot called CIC call center yet. So my queries are:

1. As I am outside Canada now, is there any issue if I call CIC call center from abroad?
2. Will they ask any particular info from me to check my PR card status?
3. Also what kind of info normally they ask?

i just checked the new processing time has been increased to 76 days now.

We landed on the same day. The processing time increases every week I check. Hope we can get our PR card soon!

Yea..hopefully they will stop increasing the processing time. Whoever receive the PR card first just update each other

I landed on June 03,2015. Was already in Canada so my address is the same as the one provided in my PR application but still the 5th line has not been added.

76 days is already a long time! I hope it wont get longer than that! Please let's update each others regarding the 5th line update and the PR card.
