I am heading to Canada in a few weeks to get a PR card. I landed in 2012, but never got the card, as they rejected the photographs. I am planning on driving using my COPR document at a land border, and then getting in touch with CIC once in Canada. Is there a process I need to follow; I know I need to pay the $ 50.00 fee again. Is the entire process done on the phone with a credit card? Thanks for your help.

How are you crossing the land border, private car? rental car? bus? train? Whichever method you're travelling by be prepared for questioning by the border agent; they'll want to know why you don't have a PR card and if you meet the RO. Landing in 2012 means you should be well within the RO. How come you didn't send new photographs for your card? The PR card replacement process is done via mail, with payment done online.
