The security question I got was which city I was signing from and I typed North York and it submitted. It's all a blur to me right now. I have no idea what happened

have you checked you spam folder? my page also unloaded after clicking pay, but I received the receipt.

if the pay is pending status in your bank account, it should be most probably has been paid successfully, also try to login 'view the receipt' to check

I don't see why not. The requirement is to be currently working and you're currently working. You should apply.

I think being a contractor is self-employment know? IRCC said self-employed can't apply. But I might be wrong.
