If you've also followed the news on discord or forums, a lot of invites were given to people today, who had applied under TR2PR, now they're wanting to apply for CEC, since that process is quicker rn.

Also AOR's are within 24 hours for CEC/EE, and we've been waiting for AOR's ever since. People have already started thinking of withdrawing their TR2PR apps to apply for CEC.
I cant post videos on here, but on You Tube there is a video from one professional immigration firm (its not the chatty lawyer :) Anyway, she was saying that CEC applications are not being processed that quick either. That it takes them around 8 to 10 months on the average, there are exceptions, some applicants get their applications processed within 6 months, but on the average its longer. Because of covid.

There have been approvals for recent apps. Seems as if they're processing apps quicker rn.

I see this, well at least something good is happening. Hopefully they re-open that international graduate stream pathway, I am just on the cusp with the points for CEC, right now I am just gathering all the documents so I'll be ready.
If they do reopen the student stream, the good news is you will be ready since all your documents will be ready to go. Bad news is there will be many applicants who will also be "ready" as well, so whatever intake they have will likely go very quickly.

People who applied under the TR2PR pathway already received invites? Aren't the supposed to process the applications on a f first come first serve basis? When I completed my submission there were only 200 submissions. How come I didn't receive one? :(

It means CEC invites, many TR to PR applicants are people who are also eligible for CEC.

The entry stamp and work permit
Wait actually?

Why would I need my entry stamp? What if it was on an older passport that I no longer have.
I submit attached my work permit for Proof of entry and status in Canada and Proof of authorization to work. I'm not sure why the checklist couldn't just clearly say "upload work permit", "TRV", etc.

I've given this some thought and I personally think just the work permit is fine as that is what the guide asks for. I feel they would have mentioned if they wanted anything else as there really isn't anything that can prove you're physically present in the country other than a face to face interview or the CBSA records of entry and exit.

Yeah, fair enough. We also had to submit a letter of employment and a recent paystub so not sure why they would require more proof.

It's probably a generic checklist, they should see our address via pay stubs among other things. Also, legal status can be tracked with our UCI as well.
