the rules which will apply to existing applications is in news of 8 March.

arch 30, 2017 – New rules regarding the maximum number of applications for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificate) that can be received by the Ministère will be in effect from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018, inclusively. These new rules pertain to applications submitted by economic immigration candidates (permanent workers and businesspeople).


Yesterday one member of this forum gets checklist but as per him his points were short as per new list.

Yes, it is statement for the maximum number of applicants intake of 2017 and not meaning that the old applicants intakes 2016 is not effected by the new grid stated on Mar 8, 2017.

i was also confused as earlier my points are 51 but now they are short by 2 points

As it's clearly mentioned the new rules will be effective from Apr 1 2017,we are not there..we are 2016...so probably we shouldn't be affected..

It's all about interpretation , let's see what's gonna happen next.
If Quebec changes the rules for Jun/aug 2016 application then it will be unfair, as we had paid the money after fulfilling all the requirements , if it changes the rules it's illogical.

Yes that's what we raised our voices..but according to MIDI news released it's mentioned that new rules affect from April 2017.

So, if you receive the document list it means you got enough points to apply? Is that correct?
There are members in this forum who are short on points after new rules and still received the list...

come on guys these is an old topic, MIDI already confirmed that new points are retroactive there was a petitios to sign in order to evite it.....

Please post the source! Nothing is clearly that applicants intakes 2016 are out of the new point rule.

it's said on midi's page, also you can call them and ask about it. you're wrong when you say "nothing is clearly", mate unfortunatly these has been cleared before, do anstrategy you are on time yet.

I am from latin america, my status has changed to "treatment" i called to midi asking about when checklist and they informed me if i has the 2017 criteria i would receive checklist in 15 days
