Just checked eCAS and noticed that the application for a first-issue PR card took over a month from the date of landing at YYZ to actually be received for processing. (Nov 9th to Dec 17th).

Given that the current New-PR processing time from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp is currently 63 days from the date of receipt, it's likely that it will be near to 100 days from landing before the card will actually be issued.

Can you track your new PR card on ecas?

Perhaps there is a really obvious way to do this that I am missing - on ecas I only see a place to see tracking for renewals and replacements. Even when I put my partners details in there it brings me to me regular 'decision made' page for my spousal approval.

Am I missing something?

I used the "Principal Applicant" login, just as if I was wanting to look at my PR application.
The details for that are still visible but there is now a new entry for the PR card application as well.

I see, I suppose it will just take a week or so for mine to appear. Thanks Zardoz!

Hi,

I am new to this group.

My sister already got PR status July 2013 and went back to her country, ....July end, thinking that I could collect the PR card (I stay in Canada). She gave my address and I haven't yet received her PR card. I called to CIC and they told they cannot provide me her details and should become representative by filling up the "Use of Representative form".

My question is I applied under CEC and got my AOR recently. Is it appropriate at this stage (after receiving my AOR) to become a representative for her case and enquire about her PR card status/details?

Plz reply as we are confused.

Jim

She can nominate you as her representative. Under the circumstances, this would seem to be a good idea.

Thank you Zordoz,
But do you think that this would affect my CEC Appl in any way?

Hello Zardoz

I went to CIC website and logged in as principal applicant but could not track PR card (New). I am trying to find at what stage PR card is like "In Processing", "dispatced" etc. Can you suggest if I am missing something here expecting too much? I went to this link:

services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

Thanks
