New passport between EE and eAPR

Is it a good idea to make a new passport after receiving ITA for FSW.

I have been suggested to get the new passport to rectify a mistake in my fathers name.

Should I change the passport between EE and PR to rectify this mistake. I am not sure whether changing the passport number would be a good idea or not considering that my EE profile, ECA report and IELTS results are based on existing passport number.

Renewing your passport will not have a negative effect on your application; you simply need to let IRCC know that you have a new passport number.

So if you need to update your passport for whatever reason, it's not a problem.

getting new passport issued should not be a problem. make sure you update them with the CSE and email the Ottawa office as well.

Just one more question. While putting the passport information on online PR form, should I mention the new passport no or the both new and the one which was used to submit the EE.

I'm not 100% sure, sorry.

But I think that if you get a new passport before you submit your eAPR, you should use the details from your new passport, and include an LOE and details of your old passport when you upload a copy of your passport.

Use details of the old passport until you have submitted the details of the new one- at that point, you can start using details of the new one.
