Looks like eliminating the Conditional PR (or as they call it, "granting immediate PR") may not be a top priority after all.

Don't be at all surprised if the processing of existing Inland applications comes to a screeching halt, while they `shift' resources to process the Syrian refugee applicants before the end of the year.

Nothing about us...

I wouldnt go so far as to say other streams will be compromised. Things will be about the same for the other streams for the foreseeable future. John will have to get up to date on his File, and complete Transition. Then they will have to look at the budget and then focus his time and efforts now thru Jan on Refugees. Policy changes and added Resources to other Streams will not affect any streams till next budget.

Well, unless CIC has an army of workers just sitting around doing nothing, who's going to be fast tracking the onslaught of applications between now and Dec 31st?

Oh...and what ever happened with your situation? Did you take scylla's advice to withdraw your Inland application (and apply Outland), since you weren't able to continue working (legally) past November of last year?

That initial proposal never made sense to begin with. Maybe the Liberals finally took time to actually understand what the rule means...

I think all the campaign promises that don't incur directly in money spending will be done for sure, but i don't see anything happening this year for anyone else other than the Syrian refugees.
