maybe what the email from CEM is referring is the pre departure orientation seminars that the Canadian Government is offering. These seminars are COA( canadian orientation abroad) and CIIP ( canadian immigrant integration program). Cem emails applicants encouraging them to go for COA. I have received this email as well. But COA or CIIP sre optional. The PDOS offered by CFO( Commission on Filipinos Overseas) is mandatory. you need your visa for this one though.

Yon nga po toffboss,its a COA, a one day seminar for all categories of immigrants provided by IOM and funded by CIC...so hindi po ito indication na malapit na me mag visa...di pa me PPR po eh since nag IP po ako noong July 18..

Hi Bojeana, january applicant po ako, january 21 po natanggap application package po, pinadala ni husband...July 18 nag IP and waiting for PPR and yet wala pa po till now...I hope this week PPR na po me...mabilis nga po ang sa inyo eh.... Visa ka na ba?

Oh.. Is it $40? I thought it was only $5. Nabasa ko sa ibang thread. When did you request for your gcms notes? And how long after did you recieve it?

Malamang ung ppr na matatanggap mo ay naka indicate dun na visa approved kana..

my friend (who will go to Canada this 20th sept) also received the COA email then after 2 weeks PPR then another 2 weeks fpr her visa. Pray lng po tayo na darating na din ung sa yo.

as for me, i received the COa email after i got my visa. So iba iba din tlga.

nasa sa inyo po.if you want to.know kung ano nangyayari sa application niu. I think it wil just cost 5$ just ask your sponsor in Canada to.request for you. ypu will receive it in 3-4 weeks.

Thank you erika0728. Sana po ma approve ako as sponsor ng spouse ko worried din kasi ko kasi resigned ako sa work ko sa Canada? Baka hindi ako eligible as sponsor. Pwde kaya maglagay ako ng letter kung ano plans ko at ng hubby ko para ma approve ako? Ngayon po tinutulungan ko hubby ko mag fill out ng forms mag print ng pictures namin.
Isa pa po worried ako nung nagstart kami ng relationship eh pinaghiwalay kami ng pamilya namin parang romeo and juliet pero after 14years naayos na lahat at nkasal din kami.. Ikukuwento ko pa ba yun sa details ng relationship namin?

Thanks po erika0728. Sobra kasi masalimuot ang kwento namin parang hirap po simulan ng storya maxado complicated pero after 14yrs sa simbhan din natuloy. Meron pa po akong isang problema nung 2014 po na approved ako sa mpnp application ko kasama anak namin kaso yung pinagawa na custody ng bata, ako nagsusupport financially pero ngbbgay namn ang tatay nya kaya ganun pinagawa namin kasi nung last yr eh ayaw pa sa knya ng mga magulang ko. Tas nung ininterview sponsor ko kung maghahabol pa tatay ng anak ko sabi ng sponsor ko hindi daw at d nya kilala.

Ang question ko po, makaapekto kaya yun sa application namin na kuhanin ko asawa ko na biological father ng anak ko kinasal na po kami at ngkabatian na parehong pamilya namin. Pinaghiwalay kasi kami nung mga pamilya namin dahil na rin sa legal matters..
Aabutin po yata ng two pages yung storya ng relationship namin.
