New Instructions from IRCC for applications before 7th Sep 2021

Right, probably they would adhere to these timelines for our new portal applications. I submitted latest one on 4th November 2021.
I currently have 3 active applications. Two in GC key, one in portal.

Can returning work permit holders apply in ircc portal?

Hi,

I have mistakenly selected "To unite with an immediate family member who is a Canadian citizen or Permanent resident" for my mothers visitor visa application instead of selecting "To visit family/friends for less than 6 months" Could you please let me know how to correct this? We received the BIL and waiting for the biometrics appointment. At this point what can be done to correct that?

38 business days? That’s so unfair. Like what was the point of telling applicans 14-30 business days when you know you’re gonna be taking your sweet time.

And is the last part of your message so? Was that from an official source? I’ve never heard that one before that the more they delay your application the higher the chances of approval.

According to the timelines posted here on this thread, it seems like they are taking 50-52 calendar days if you applied from India.
I'm not sure that the delay of the application implies that it would be approved.

That is due to many timelines I saw here
They usually reject quickly like not more than 15 business days after the application and not more than 10 business days after the eligibility review start.(this is on the new portal)
On your application did the eligibility review started already? If yes when?

About refusals, I guess your are talking about people who applied in late October or November
I have seen people who applied in September got refusals after waiting for 40+ days

Can you please clarify whether the processing days' countdown begins from date of application submission or from the date of Biometrics submission? From one of the forums, I got to know that updated 40 days processing from India is to be counted after Biometrics submission date

Usually, processing time excludes the time required to give biometrics.

Oh, I see. Good observation still. The eligibility never started on either applications. I just checked the old application now (GCKey) and it was withdrawn on the 22nd of this month (two days ago). So could this be that good news is on the way? The new application (Portal) is still processing and eligibility hasn’t started on it.

My mother in law also applied from Nigeria. Her GCkey application too was withdrawn on 22nd of nov. Let’s hope things are Moving

Hi, I applied for tourist visa for both of my parents through the new portal.
I've received the bio collection letter for my father yesterday but not for my mother because of a system error on her page that doesn't load the content. Any similar situations?
what do I do?

Hi Guys,

This is my timeline. Applied for my parents TRV, they are currently in India. I am PR holder:

1. 1st Application using GCKey on August 25th
2. 2nd Application using IRCC portal on Sept 7th
3. Biometric Letter on 9th Sept (IRCC Portal)
4. Biometric completed on 17th Nov (IRCC Portal)
5. BVL on Nov 23rd (IRCC Portal)
6. PPR on Nov 23rd (IRCC Portal)
7. GCKey application automatically Withdrawn today (Nov 24th)

If you applied in Dec 2020, reapply asap on the new portal.

I applied for mother in law in march 13 2020 never got any reply withdraw her file in September 2021 applied again couple a weeks ago in new portal. Withdraw your file and apply in new portal
