Filled on 15th Sep for my spouse, but No updates - Eligibility Not Started, Background verification in process, that's it for more than 3 weeks
Hi Everyone.
I applied for my parents visitor visa so they could see my brother in canada whom they havent seen from the last 2 years. I submitted the application on 29th sept 21 via GCKEY and I was unaware of the new portal at that time.
Later on after their biometrics I came to know about the new portal and read that the response has been fast as it gives an option whether this application is for reuniting with an immediate family member. Further read that the previous application would be automatically withdrawn if I go ahead with the new portal.
For reuniting my family, I applied again on the new portal.
Could anyone please share their views regarding my situation? I would be extremely grateful.

Got refusal today , she even had valid USA visa but now I wouldn’t re apply but we will just wait for PR for both of us.
I applied under CEC (me inland , she is outland).
I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your immigration status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

Just wondering if your wife is working in the coubtry of residence?

I had applied for my mother's Super Visa on June 15. We had completed the Biometrics on August 2. However, after the new guidelines from IRCC, I had re-applied on September 11. We got the request for medical, which was completed on October 4. However, post this, there has been no update from IRCC.
Can anyone who got the Super Visa or still waiting share their experiences? Would be helpful to know your timelines.
