no nothing.. if that was the case al would give like 10-15 days from submission and then IRCC will need to sit and approve all. Dates hve nothing to do.. Just an estimate we give. they process as they wish and our luck

Hello everyone. So I’m a PR and I submitted a “travel exemption” webform for my sister on October 2nd. Today her account GC randomly showed “Application/Profile updated” but nothing was indeed updated (I’m assuming this was a ghost update). Even her background check has still not updated to “we’re reviewing…”

Does anyone know what this ghost update might be about? When can one expect an actual update after a “ghost” one? Thank you!

Greetings!! I applied for my parents visitors visa in Mar 2021 but still in process. There wasn't any travel exemption in the application specifically when they applied. I believe you are applying for a travel exemption on an eTA already raised for your sister? Because it is kind of confusing as IRCC states for visitors visa - 'if you applied before 7th Sep and you already told us that you qualify for a COVID-19 exemption' but there was no way to select an exemption option for visitor visa before 7th September.

It would be great if you could clarify my doubt and guide

Hi! You can submit a travel exemption webform for a visa application already in progress. The essence of this form is to let them know you’re reuniting with a family member so their application could get prioritized/processed.

eTA is only needed for people who don’t require visas to come to Canada. If your parents’ visa applications are still processing, you can submit a travel exemption webform and include your proof of status/residency and a duly completed, signed and notarized form for Application for Authorization and Statutory Declaration https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/documents/pdf/english/kits/forms/imm0006e-2020-10-09.pdf

probably a bit slow this week since its Thanksgiving in canada ( i assume the workers go by canadian holidays) which would be a monday but i bet a bunch took the friday off too to enjoy a long weekend.

I am so confused. I applied for TRV to visit my spouse who is in Canada as PR.
Do I need to submit a webform to show that Im exempted from travel restrictions?

Hey Guys!
I am planning to reapply again for a visitor visa to visit my brother via IRCC portal.

Old Application: March 17th 2021
Biometrics: March 31st 2021
Pending new application

I would like to know if it is necessary to submit a travel itinerary as part of additional documents or not as we cannot buy tickets before getting a visa.
And also what other supporting documents can help the application as I am currently an international student in another country, not applying from home country.

I recommend you to reapply in using the GCKey...people reporting faster response

Looks like officer must have opened this one for sure....I checked all my emails for first application, there was nothing sort of like this.
