We stayed at Ports Hotel in Port Credit Mississauga. Good place, reasonable rates.

Go their site www.portshotel.ca

For a a family of 4, a Single bedroom apartment is ideal and costs not that much.

Dear Tania, thanks for your suggestion above -- but upon checking the prices it mentions 1900 CAD for a 1 bedroom suite -- and that seems really high for missisauga

I think I could easily get a similar furnished high rise on short term in the north york area in toronto for close to 1200 CAD

What do u think ?

Most rentals are unfurnished because most landlords require a one year lease. Not many high rises will be available for a short term rental.

it depends how much is your budget. how much you wanna spend?

you can find a place from $400 to 5000/month

Do a search in Kijiji.ca fpr this and contact the people who listed the ads.
You can stay in a motel for a week or so and in the meantime get the place for short term rentals.
Any apartments will not be suitable as they ask for a year term contract.

Also look for sublet options.
