Hi everyone,

So my parents and my sister will be arriving in Canada next month on immigrant visa.

I have read on the following post that CRA will ask new immigrant to report "World Income" for the tax year they are filling for.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/income-before-coming-to-canada-t434815.0.html

My Parents are old and have no income, for last many years, I have sent them money every year for food, clothing, shelter and other necessities of life.

So my question is: does the money that I send to my parents every year counts as their "income"? I do not think so, but I want to confirm.

Thank you

If they have further invested that money and have received investment income...that that investment income is their income......However the money sent by you is not
