I hold Diploma in Mechanical Engineer from Board of Technical Education Rajashan, India and Bachelor of Science Engineering Technology Degree from BITS, Pilani, India
And 11 years of Industrial work experience from various industries from India.

I am planning to land in Calgary in mid-June this year. I am a chemical engineer and have an experience of over 6 years. 3 years in production in textile industries and further 3.5 years in sales and business development of renewable energy products.

do you think its advisable to come to Calgary or should i go to Vancouver instead.

Thanks for reply. What is the scenario for business development, sales personal. Also is there any requirement for giving some examination or registration for new immigrant engineers out there

yea license is not mandatory to get job here but it can give ur resume a shine

for engineer in alberta apega is the regulatory body and for engineering technologist aset.

usually apega assigns some additional exams for engineers graduated from other countries like india.

Now job market is very bad in Alberta due to oil crisis. Most of the company's laying off people now.

First off, the economy is filled with engineers with local experience -- mechanical, chemical, petroleum, electrical -- who have been laid off. Secondly, the economy is filled with engineers with local education who have just graduated from school and can't find work. Both of these groups have professional qualifications that are precisely oriented towards Alberta regulatory requirements. Why will you be hired ahead of them? Anyone who does any due diligence at all before landing would avoid Alberta like a burning waste disposal plant.

Canada -- which has many small job markets, + Ontario + Quebec (if you speak French) -- presents an interesting problem. Do I like my chances more as a small fish in a small market, or a small fish in a big market? Depending on your skills, I'd like to suggest that you consider two places that maybe not a lot of immigrants do: Yellowknife and Whitehorse. I bet if you study civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and especially anything to do with mining, that those places will be very open to considering you as a professional employee. Because they're so small, it would be easy to check first. Sure, both places are cold and remote -- but I've been to Yellowknife, and normal people live there, it's a quirky, interesting looking place. Whitehorse is famous for being beautiful and friendly. Call up some companies, see if they're interested, why throw yourself into the mix in southern Ontario? Everywhere in Canada is cold, some places just more so than others.

I have MSc in Chemical Engineering and I'm planning to land in Canada in 2019.
Which province or city would you recommend for jobs in Chemical or Process engineering.
