These are rumor's , wait what comes out from CIC official web page. I believe that max intake level would be around 20 to 25 thousand applications.

I do understand that the final rules will be declared on cic.gc.ca, that would be authentic, but before this we can gather the experts opinions of different lawyers, experts, statements of immigration minister. I think one of statement of kenney was also important that you would only rewarded for good occupation and also once he told that this time it is going to be a fast process.

but yes the authentic norms will be declared around 30th april, that is true

FSW is not going to be any faster if you don't apply with a job offer. In fact I think QSW would still be a better program than FSW if you qualify for both. Or, you can apply for both!

The confusion is that if the person is qualified for both the programs fsw as well as qsw, where he/she give the first preference.? which program would be more fast, coz as per my knowledge and remark qsw is absolutely slow program and specially when applying from India. I have read many comments in the forum where people are waiting for the correspondance regarding interview or csq since 2 to 3 years.

Other relevant info from CIC/minister Kenny:
1. Total # of applications to be accepted under FSW will be around 7-8 thousand total.
2. The new FSW applications will be processed after the current backlog is clear, possibly in the next 2-3 years (except if you apply with a job offer).
3. Credential evaluation will be required for all, but the agencies that will do such evaluations will be designated by CIC, sometime in April. SO there is no way of doing that right now.

Job offer has to be permanent and accompanied by a positive LMO, which can take many months and is not a guarantee. With such job offer, your application will likely be processed within a year. You can change jobs after you get your PR, but changing it while process will only make it more complicated and increase your processing time.

I have'nt applied yet. Preparing the application on my own. Its not a difficult application to seek out for an agent's help. The application package has an instruction guide on how to fill each and every form. Just follow it and get ready with the supporting docs mentioned in the checklist in 5612E form. You should be good to go.

Yes, you can start working under a work permit, but the same rules about the positive LMO applies even to obtain a work permit.

Dear Reena

New occupation list , intake level and education assessment agencies will be announced by April 20,2013.
They are delaying this systematically so that applications come in their system / at CIC come in late May or by mid June.
This will help them in clearing a large portion of backlog in 2013 , and completing review of all pending applications.
This is what minister has indicated on many forums
Their credibility is at stake , and they want to clear all backlog so that when Minister stands for next PM , he has credibility and efficiency against his profile , for the job assigned to him.

the huge changes were expected, but elimination for the nurses was real surprise element, along with not the good news for the pharmacists over the world who were expected to be in the occupation list.

Well I think the quota is about what many people expected. They have a brand new EOI system slated to come in towards the end of next year, so this was always going to be just to tide them over for a year or so. I predicted a cap of 5000 about 3 months ago:

..there will likely be a fairly low overall cap, maybe 5000 although it's not confirmed yet
