I am also trying to gather the information about getting P.Eng registration. It looks a long process but seems very important for at least all 0211 candidates. I don't expect a 6 digit salary without P.Eng.

Share your views and suggestions.

Agreed. The possible avenues to be explored while waiting for medical request are:
1) Knowing about getting P.Eng designation is good idea.
One can do is to collect all info, prepare Work Experience Record in specific format, and convince any P.Eng friend to review and even to be a your reference. I think Ontario's Professional Body have started a programme to offer P.Eng Licence at no cost once you land over there. Other provincial bodies charges fees upward of 500CAD for providing provisional licence which do not require mandatory one year of canadian experience. So unless we get a medical request or even start earning our first CAD, there is no point paying for the provisional licence. So i think its better be ready with all info and documentations for first rays of golden sun!!

2)How about getting PMP certification. I have seen many job requirements advertisement that describes this requirement.
3) Does learning of French help in getting along, getting first job etc..
4)Learning AUTO CAD, getting acquainted with Safety code.

What else.. Please share.

Dear CanEra,
I agree with you that we need to look at how to acquire the P.Eng credential. I guess we all can take a positive step forward if we can get the books suggested in the webpage of PEO Ontario and study them.
h**p://***.peo.on.ca/index.php?ci_id=2060&la_id=1

Best would be to share each other's e-mail ID's, network at least through phone and most important of all, exchange books after studying, by having a target that we will write the exam as scheduled in Canada by 2014 April.

I'm getting carried away I guess, but i guess that it does't hurt being optimistic.

Cheers :)

They check the documents are in order and calculate the points. If both goes well, they deduct the fees. The current numbers (updated 4 October) are 238 places taken and that is based on processing of applications received on second week of July

I intend to apply in 0211 shortly. However, if I submit an application against a particular FSW whose cap is not yet reached. But after a couple of weeks/days the cap gets reached. What will happen:

1. to the complete application package that I had sent (including original IELTS TRF, original ECA report etc).

2. to the application fees that I had submitted.

Regards,

The package is returned to you as is
The fees are only cashed if your application goes with cap.

Look at NOC 0211 description on CIC website, if you can match your job to the responsibilities written there and get a letter of reference from your employer with that then you can apply

Dear all,

How are we going to get jobs as per our experience? How long we have to wait to get our job in our own fields?
