Dear All,
I have 6 years experience as Engineering Manager(Electrical) , NOC 0211.

My previous position was as Deputy Manager(Electrical)- where in most functions remains similar but at some junior level of responcility and includes execution, supervision etc., - for which what NOC code should i put in the application form IMM0008_3e- (Schedule 3 : Economic Class).

Please help.
CanEra.

Hi guys,

Just wondering what's the status of your application? Did anyone receive the email from CIO already?

Dear Fraternals (NOC 0211) ,

While most of us have posted our first sign of good luck (i.e. PER) on the timeline here -> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aovj20uHVWyzdGFqSGJUOEtVX0h5eWM0cXB5dlAtOEE&usp=sharing , shouldn't we better concentrate now on preparing ourselves for the new challenges once we are landed on our dreamland - six or eight month down the line :D.

I think we can control our anxiety over next status change for our applications in a better way once we start sharing, discussing new way of life - more precisely about requirements of getting into our line of specialization, getting or preparing to acquire licence to practice our profession and learning new skill especially we may not needing back home but may be essential in Canada.

Pals, Let's do it by now. The journey will be more interesting than the destination.

Well, I think am the last man sending his application on this NOC. I highly doubt I will make it :(

Do not loose heart dear friend,
The pressure goes high as we use to micro- monitor and open to all type of noises here.. Keep hopes high and wait..
Best Luck!!

There are only 63 places left for cap and my application was received on 4 October while those in July still haven't received their PER. Engineers tend to calculate everything :D

I agree with you CanEra and welcome your spirit.

I am 9 yr exp Electrical engineer currently working as Manager - engineering with a US MNC in Ahmedabad.
I think the most important point to focus as next item is to get a respectable job in Canada once we are through.
Once we have income in CAD, we can concentrate on settling down with family and think the next best thing for future.
I am also trying to gather the information about getting P.Eng registration. It looks a long process but seems very important for at least all 0211 candidates. I don't expect a 6 digit salary without P.Eng.

Share your views and sugessions.

How are you planning to find a job and what are you planning to do once you get the visa, let's share ideas

Well, I don't think this is the case. 4 people have applied for NOC 0211 this week for FSW because there is still seats available.

Hope your will also work out.

Looking at the numbers of last week, 238 positions are taken out of the 300 and they are still processing application received on second week of July so I guess there are at least 62 applicants between second week of July and first week of October (2.5 months). I will wait and see

Dear,
i also applied on the NOC 0211 and got the PER 90 days ago, today i got email from CPPO saying that my application is rejected due to the data on my experience letter is not enough and not linked to the NOC0211 general statement (Based on the work reference letter you have submitted from XXXX to support your experience as an Engineering manager, I am not satisfied that you have performed the actions described in the lead statement or a substantial number of the main duties of NOC 0211)
But i was given 60 days to send additional document before final decision is made.
can you help me:
- do they really accept new experience letter with more detailed job responsibilities?
- does any one have one for 0211 that got accepted that can share?
- i am mechanical engineer, can i ask them to asses vs NOC 2132
