Points will be awarded for job offers of eligible candidates here on LMIA exempt work permits.

Many people in Canada temporarily on an employer specific LMIA-exempt work permit, but who want to stay in Canada permanently, will no longer need to get an LMIA to be awarded job offer points by the CRS. This includes candidates who are here under the North America Free Trade Agreement, a federal-provincial agreement, Mobilité Francophone, or who are intra-company transferees.

unfortunately Post-graduation work permits are NOT in the above list. You may want to check the published article below.

My Score is 320 and I got a job offer and the employer agreed to process my LMIA. But now with this new rule, any 'Remote' chance of improving the score? :o

> WES did not recognize my Post Graduation as the college name was not recognized? - Any chance of re-evaluating this?
> My IELTS score is CLB7 -- Will surely retry to make it better

Any other inputs would be much appreciated...

Try uni of Toronto (CES) for evaluation of your degree or at least ask them if they recognize your school.

The scores won't get updated automatically! You need to login in to your profile to update your profile to reflect the new changes!

you can see the timings on website when the maintenance is going to take place. After those timings you can update your profile and see.

Do we need to update the profile to get the new scores or will it be done automatically without updating the profile?

Could you kindly share the maintenance timing webpage?
This online service will be unavailable from 1:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. Eastern time, on Saturday, November 19, 2016, in order to perform system maintenance.

All changes will be in place as of November 19, 2016. However, some foreign nationals might not see their Comprehensive Ranking System score change for several days. All scores will be updated before the next round of invitations to apply. Those foreign nationals who would benefit from new points for Canadian study credentials or changes to job offer requirements will need to update their profiles and answer new questions to receive points.

I hope , today they update the CRS tool with new changes so that people will come where they stand with new scores.

For students with Canadian study credentials, how do you change or update Express Entry profile to reflect the new scores in the system?

They added 3 new questions for Canadian grads:
1- Designated learning institutions number
2- Was more than half the study program English or French as a second language courses? >>>> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-institutions-list.asp
3- I forgot! :(

3. Did XXX study in Canada based on an award that required them to go back to their home country to apply their knowledge and skills? This includes some awards from Global Affairs Canada.?

What should be the answer for 2nd question?
