when creating an EE profile there is one particular question that says Do you have a relative who is living in Canada, is over the age of 18 and is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident? or something like that . so far you get no additional points for answering yes, but by nov.19th that question should no longer be there cuz points for siblings wont be given through EE , the question is useless when creating a profile .

if the question is still part of the EE profile after nov19th , it means they decided not to remove it cuz points might be coming soon. peace. :P

You are getting confused. That question is for FSW who need to pass the eligibility test (67 points) in order to enter the pool. You get 5 points for that which contributed towards the 67 FSW eligibility pass mark.

Hey guys,

I just received my IELTS score today i.e 8.5 in Listening and Speaking, 8 in reading and 7.5 in writing.
I have 5+ years of experience in IT industry
I completed my Masters in US and turned 30 few months back.

My spouse has Masters as well and been working for 5 years too and received 7.5 in Writing and Listening,7 in reading and 8 in Speaking.

What are our chances? Can anyone reply with the knowledge of new system?

Thanks for reading

No this is just tricky. They want us to go through PNP that's all. There will be no competition in PNP's and they will increase quota and make other provinces to select directly from pool. Direct ITA will be easy for CEC and FSW will go through PNp that's the major change. Which means CEC can get PR in 6 months and FSW in one year. The system is made better and the chances of getting PR remains same for both
yes, They want us to go through PNP

Well, you just received 30 extra points for your masters in Canada.

Hard to say what your chances are right now due to the recent changes.

Cheers ;)

May be these will be converted into points; we don't know how much?

The issue is that no one was desperate to ask him from his speech when changes will take effect for French and Siblings. People were only desperate for students as majority of the audience were former international students.

That's why we don't know for Siblings and French as no one bother to ask him.

Damn , forgot to tell you that I live in US. I believe the credential points will be given to Canadian students. Is it?

I was making 477 with previous CRS calculator. Hopefully, this change doesn't affect my chances of entering Canada much. :)

Someone early on did raise the point that even though we pay to have our degrees converted to the Canadian equivalent, these new extra points for students means that are degrees are worth less...

i dont know. i think they will create a family support stream in every PNP. that will give sibling the additionals 600 points. they want everybody to go through PNP. only graduates got additional points. the rest of the FSW did not get get any points. to my understanding , they want the rest of us to go through a nomination and this might include siblings too.
