I am in Charlotte NC. Submitted passport for PCC to Indian embassy, site says it takes 45 days. anushauc, was your passport issued by Houston consulate? Thinking what to do, as I have 45 days to submit passport + PCC + RPF fee etc and it might take another month+ in indian embassy...

Malu08, I didnt sent anything special, just a cover letter which had the list of documents and what they signify and my total point calculations as proof that I qualify. I also submitted, org chart to show that person signing is indeed my manager.

My PP was issued @ Chennai India . I had requested for the PCC to be expedited and the Houston Consulate actually did
They were very prompt and called us to reconfirm the reason for request in 3 days . During that telephonic conv, they confirmed they have recd OK from India and that they will be sending across the PCC via Fedex the following day .

I am given to understand that Washington DC has long waiting times. Chk abt ure consulate and see if you want to seek an alternative route

I am based at New Delhi and planning to apply FSW PR and want to ask you that whether you have taken services from any agents etc or have applied directly.

Is is worthwhile taking services of agents like WWICS or any other.

Looking forward for your reply.

ashish - it really depends on you .

there are an increasing number of people these days who prefer to do it themselves as the process is straightforward and you get a lot of help from the cic.gc.ca website where the whole process is described in detail enough .

Then additionally, there are forums like this where people help each other resolve their queries during the process.

Hence , pls go through the process and then take a call whether you will be able to do it by yourself.

If your case is complex and if you feel you need a representative, then pls go ahead with researching which consultant you would like to go for.

hello everybody ..i sent full documents to CHC on 29th Jan..and my estatus changed to "received by visa office" on 8th feb...no updates after dat....has anybody's status changed to "in process"????i have nt got any letter or AOR from dem after sending final application...has anybody received letter??..

hello Skaggarwal...gud 2 hear abt ur news...i dont knw abt ur case..bt 4 me getting PCC ws nt dat difficult..though i had to stand whole long day bt i got it on the same day..filled up a form and deposited it to local passport office in the morning..after around 2P.M got PCC from dem....

I got my 2nd AOR from New Delhi today
It was sent out in JAN 2010 , no date on the letter. Sent from New Delhi office to Canada through Diplomatic Express or Parcel ... Posted locally in Canada on 3rd March and received by my consultant today !

My brother in law received AOR an File number yesterday. Application was received on march 2, 2010 and the AOR is dated 5th March. That is awesome.

I know when you have a consultant in Canada, it wastes like 4-5 weeks. Anyhow wish you good luck.Hope you get medicals soon.
