what is the meaning of background checks does it mean that its a security checks for foreign travel or it means checking your previous employment history. seniors pl help.

Background check i totally different from security check. b'ground check means checking of ur employment, educational history etc. It starts as u submit ur documents to ur VO. Security check is done after medical received by VO and only check about ur police record.maverick_stallion said:

Now another crucial stage of Job Hunting!! Rocky, I have tried posting my resume in the job portals with the local address (Ind) but was very shocked to see zero response!! Is it something, I have to give canadian address to pick my resume by the employers?

Thats grt news .. When did u send ure PP to CHC ND ? Jobs : I read a post where the guy had removed all addresses from his resume as he was not getting any responses .
A recruiter had posted that they dont even look at ure resume if u have a foreign address..
So , in my resume I have removed the place of education , place of work etc and just put the company name ..
Question : Is is OK if I put my aunts address (in Toronto) in my resume even before I go to Canada ? Will it be considered as mis-representation ?

Advice I can give you is, if you have any relative, then put their Canadian addresses and contact numbers. Re structure your resume as resume's in India have a different structure and requirement as compared to US/Canada/UK. Register at more job sites. The response will be slow. Best will be when you land then start looking for jobs.
