I am still hoping. Today is the 18th Day, and no reply. processing times showed 13 days. What would normally cause such a delay in processing and responding?

Just wondering especially for some applications where one is just traveling to present, training and share experiences and learn and there is evidence that its conference, 100% covered and sponsored of all costs, all letters, proof of very good job back home, proof of ownership of assets. I wonder what is making it take long.

I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope VAC will not take more than 3 days to transfer and send to Canada High Comm and give me the passport.

Have you applied online or a paper application? When is the training program? Do you have confirmed flight tickets + hotel bookings?

I see that the current processing time is 18 days for the Tanzania VO. You can send a Case Specific Enquiry end-this week giving your flight details/hotel bookings.... and request the visa office to let you know if they require any additional documents/information to make an expedited decision.

Where can I send the case Enquiry. Do you have an email address. I can send this at the end of day tomorrow.
I submitted 22 dec 2015, 02am EST. What information and how do I write this case enquiry email? I provide my visa application number, receipt, and personal details? is that sufficient?

Yes I submitted confirmed ticket which is 10 January 2016 return is 11 Feb 2016. All detail regarding accommodation was submitted.

Just wondering whether this went to Tanzania or CIC or where. Could it be its hanging in system. But I got approval and receipt of payment made through credit card, I also got confirmation message.

A day later, I got an email saying, your CIC account has been updated, please check your account. I logged in but there was no update.

High chance i will miss conference but if all go well i can attend training which starts 19th Jan 2016. do my hosts need to issue a letter to the effect to present at the airport - point of entry.

Do check the CSE link. It is self-explanatory. You can upload proofs of your flight tickets, hotel bookings, training program schedule, etc.


You may have to change your flight tickets to Canada.... hope you can make it to the training program

Hi Ishneet,

Congrats. In nearly all cases, a passport request means the TRV is approved.

You must submit the passport at the CVAC/VFS office either in New Delhi/closest to the city where you live.... pay the VFS fees + VFS consent form. You cannot courier your passport to CVAC.

You can choose to later collect the stamped passport yourself or have it couriered to your residence


So, quickly submit your passport

I have thus made plans to submit the passport at the nearest VFS on Monday, 11th Jan. Do you have any idea how long does it take after that to get the passport back after stamping?

The same address which is dslam-immigration-enquiry@international.gc.ca
is the one which wrote to me when I submitted paper applications in November and said its wrong address. The organisation from canada who are organising this used the same address to send letters and confirming that they are hosts. The other delegates whose letters were sent to the same have been issued him with visas.

mine was not rejected but they returned the all the papers - saying it was wrong address. so i applied online butt still no reply.

if online applications to VHF are sent to the office responsible to process and issue visas in that region, then mine still went to dslam-immigration-enquiry@international.gc.ca
So this means it is done from Tanzania. And since its end of day today, I suppose I should just forget about hearing from them.
22 dec to 8 jan - 17 days or 18 days

the partner org is canada said they can arrange to change the flight till another week. so i hope i hear from these people today or tomorrow. otherwise, i will just forget about it...and miss the conference and training.

Hi,

Please send the CSE + email to the same addresses which I had posted earlier.... along with proofs of your flight tickets/hotel bookings/training schedule and invitation letter. You can mention, you will change the flight tickets from January 10.

You had initially sent a paper application directly to the Canadian embassy earlier which is not the procedure. Hence, the Dar es Salaam visa office sent you an email returning your application.

Do send the CSE and email asap

I sent the Case Enquiry and see what I got,.

HomeCase Specific Enquiry. It takes 28 working days to respond as per their email below. I think at this rate, I will just wait for an email between today and tomorrow and wed. if nothing comes through then maybe will just forget....there will be no need to push.

Case Specific Enquiry
Your enquiry has been sent to the visa office processing your application. You should receive a reply within 28 working days (by email, regular mail or fax).

If your application is within normal processing times you may not receive a reply from the visa office.

If your message contains new information for your application (e.g. adding a newborn or change of address) your file will be updated but the visa office may not respond to your email.

No response till today. I am just thinking, can an online application go missing or directed elsewhere? because no reply to case enquiry - it takes 28 days.

would you advise I send an email in addition to the online form that I filled in?

I wonder what happened to my application. I was hoping to hear from them today but its now 17hrs in Tanzania , if the online applications still go to Tanzania.

Do you reckon if I got positive feedback after the training has started I can just send my passport get a visa and maybe viist 1 or 2 friends in canada. will i need to show purpose of my visit in Canada after - accommodation is not a problem and proof of support if they require this at airport.
Does visa type show if its for visiting or just training?

I feel quite disappointed. I have seen on this forum people applying 2 Jan 2016 and yesterday they got reply. How overwhelmed can they be really.

Hello Everyone

My mom has applied for super visa and today i have received the email regarding the processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada visa office. She hasn't received the medical request yet.

Could it be medical request???

She is under 50 years of age so is it possible that they issued her super visa without medical?

The email states : "Visa application, tracking ID No.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 11/01/2016 vide courier partner. To track the status of the shipment, please visit courier partner website."
