I was wondering if any one applied through New Delhi could share their times lines here. Below is mine.
Early Feb-2008: Sponsorship application submitted
Late Feb: Sponsorship approved and the case sent to New Delhi, India
April 23: Processing started
May 15: Passport requested
May 16: Passport sent
And I am still waiting to hear from the Embassy. I hope its just a straight forward case and they would send the passport back with the Visa and the other required documents (if any). How long you reckon I still need to wait before start panicking? Its 3 weeks now since I sent my passport.
Also, is it safe to resign my job now (after 3 weeks of submitting my passport)? I mean, I need to give 4 weeks notice at work before I am given my service and reference letters. And I want to join my husband ASAP after I recive my passport, I miss him so much. I dont want to stay alone for another 4 to 5 weeks after i get my visa. So my question again, is it a good idea to resing or its better that I hang on?
Any advise would be gratly appreciated.
