Jalap said:Well, good thing, you got call from the immigration department and that now you know what is really going on with your passports. I hope that you will get your visas soon. However, in my case, there is no clue what is going on with my PPs. I have not sent any Case Specific Inquiries to the ND VO as you know they don't entertain it. Yah, lets just wait and see.

I have done my Medicals in Sept 2010. I have sent the passports to NDVO too. I have not yet received my much-awaited maple leaf stamped visas. I have mailed them a number of times & each time the reply is background checks are being conducted. My medicals will lapse in another 2 months. Friends....can you suggest what course of action should I take up? Very frustrating scenario.
NO. Just tell the customs authorities at POE that you are carrying only your clothes and personal effects.visheshmalhotra13 said:A quick question, there is a mention that we need to take along 2 copies of list of items we are carrying to Canada. I just have clothes, shoes, laptop, nothing except those. Do i need to make a list of all these things? Please suggest. Thank you in advance.

My RPRF draft has been encashed way back in Oct 2010. They didnt waste time on that.
DELHI INDIAN said:This is very surprising, RPRF DD should be enashed right at the last stage at the time of issuing of visa once all security checks are acomplete and medical reports are fine. I don't understant the logic of taking Fees in October 2010 and not issuing visa till now.
Can you please share the exact link.CanadianCountry said:According to the Quarterly report (1st Jan 2011 - 31st March 2011) posted on the data.gc.ca ND CHC issued 2524 visas under FSW-C50 category in 3 months.
Total 5077 visas were issued counting all the PR categories. That brings the average number of visas issued per day to 84 visas per day! (That's quite good speed in my opinion considering there are some 20 odd visa officers at ND).
