Gav : don't loose heart... you will soon get ur passport... see my case... i waited for soo long to get my passport & when I got it... i was soo happy, had booked my tickets & was ready with all preparations for landing & a tragedy occured in my home because of which probably i wouldn't be able to go to Canada now...
See if your destiny has to take u somewhere then u will definately make it despite all the odds...& if u r not destined to go somewhere then despite all being set u can't make it there... i just hope that my story can give you some strength & wish u get your passport soon...

hi canaspirant
i feel sorry for u.......
i think u r the best person to guide me......
my noc is 4131....my wife is principal applicant...send application to NS in april and submitted docs to newdelhi in july and my ftd is june 2010.....
actually my wife is pregnant for 7 months exactly now.....i m very much confused.....although nowdays speed of chc nd is very slow.......still if i got medicals before her delievery or immediately after delievery and i think it takes nearly month to make passport for new born baby what should i do.......kindly guide me plsssssss

I strongly agree with ankipanki & YUKON. We shouldn't give up our hopes. How many months they are going to keep the passport. I don;t think they will keep passports for one year :).
There are many people who are waiting to receive their passports back since 5+ months. we are 1 - 2 - 3 of them.

Dude..first up..don feel sorry for me..even I don feel sorry for myself. I jus take it as it comes... Also congratulations for your to be born baby.

As far as your case goes, have you first communicated to CHC about the state of your wife? Crucial that you do that. If you havent done it, do it now. Write a covering letter with your case # clearly and indicate that she is expecting a baby.

Second, once you communicate it, they might see it or send you a medical request for you and your wife. My advice is to return those papers if you get it before the passport of the child and write up saying she is pregnant or baby is jus born.

They will understand and give you time. You can apply for passport anytime after you get the birth certificate. Do it ASAP as it ll take time. Also as soon as the child is born, you should submit the birth certificate to CHC ND with updated IMM forms including your child name. Remember that your POF needs to be shown for 3 people . So please be ready for that.

Hope that helps.

Hi canaspirant,

My case is also similar to sukhi. But people advised me like below :--
(1) If ND VO send you medical before delivery then inform them about the situation otherwise
(2) And if they don't send medicals till the time of delivery. Then inform ND VO after the delivery of the baby with new docs.

What you or other senior members suggest please ?????

Well managed... Really a nice thread..

Hi Friends,

Usually after the medicals and sending PPT, RPRF, how much time does CHC takes? Can we expect 1 month after sending the passports?

Thanks
