Hi

I recd medical furtherance letter for My wife. When I contaccted the DMP he told me that the CHC has issued this letter to get done Lodortic Chest x ray of Your Wife. The reason for this remedical is due to that there was calsified scar on right lung of my wife.

But, after this ladortic chest x ray DMP further refeered me to another doctor who is MD physian. I could not undersatnd why he further send us to another doctor. But the positive point is that MD did not prscribe any further tests. Can anybody clear my confusion.

Thanks
Kaushal

@Gav
I can well imagine your frustration. Even we are tired of waiting for the party! Maybe you too need to visit kali temple!!! Anyway it is matter of time only. God doesn't want you to land there in winters. Plan April/May landing.

Hi Nsukan,

I would like to ask something related to your tracker. What is the actual difference/meaning of file transfer date and In process date?

The stages of processing for you guys are,

1. Initial application to CIO
2. AOR from CIO - This should indicate you will have to submit the entire documentation to VO in 120 days
3. 2nd AOR from VO(this confirms they received complete documentation and all documents are OK) - as i see, this comes in pretty soon as they receive the complete documentation and so, this would be just after a completeness check.
4. Medicals, RPRF and PP requests altogether
5. Medicals, RPRF & PPs received
6. Visas issued.

so, the time-lines are as,

between 3 and 4 varies from 6 months to 1 yr(they check for compliance with MI, calculate the points and background checks, documentation checks etc.,)

between 4 and 5 is about a month

between 5 and 6 is about 3 months.

So, here's the twist to the story :) We(post June 26 2010 applicants) already have a positive final determination of eligibility for processing - MI and 67 points confirmed by the CIO. All we have pending before the medical requests is the background checks.

Please could you confirm the time-lines as indicated above are in fact correct for the ND VO, so we can have an idea of how many months to wait after the medical requests?

As per CIO, our files started to get transferred in Nov 2010, but the ND VO has not acknowledged any of the files reaching the VO ??? yet.

Thank you so much on behalf of our group :) Meet you soon in Canada :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

I got re-medical of sputum test only.. we were about to get our passport back after 64 days from sent date, but got re-medical, not on 8th March 2011, we will go again for x-ray and then again wait to get VISA.

This is my case.. may help you to research.

thanks

Hi All,

I am planning to carry around $15,000 in Cash and around $10,000 in DD. Do I have to declare this in India at the immigration and if I do, do they ask for the source of funds? I have been out of India 31 years and never worked there. Dont have a PAN number. Will fly from Dubai to India and then to Canada. Appreciate the feedback.

No one can predict timelines. These are all some references only.
Pls refer Page 91 for the meaning of Filetransfer and inprocess dates.

Refer to Qorax's master thread. Opening Scotiabank account in Dubai through their agents, HDFC bank is very convenient. Their bank statement will suffice as POF. You can access these funds soon after landing in Canada. You need to carry only a little cash (say a couple of thousand dollars) with you.
