New Delhi Passport Tracking Thread

Guys I am starting this thread to estimate timelines for getting the PP back from New Delhi. I request all members on Jan/Feb/March Xfer thread, April and May thread who have got Meds and PPR request to start providing the data. Once I have data for at least five applicants I will build up a table

Medical done today 21st October and going to send passport on Monday(25th October).

Just a quick question regarding the medical.

Do you get the medical certificate on hand after the medical exam or the doctor send it directly to the visa office?

How long would you think to receive your passport back once submitted?

Just trying to get info. I still got a long way to go as I just submitted the documents to delhi V/Office this monday Oct 18, 2010.

I would also like to join this thread ... My passports are lying with CHC NEw Delhi since 27th July ...My timelines are in signature column ..

I have just sent a letter to CHC NEW Delhi to relase my landing paper.I turn , they have replied with discrepancies in my sons' date of birth ..

I have already actioned on their letter in a following for everyones' reference


I have already been to Metropolitan city office... They have corrected my sons' date of birth ..Now I will be sending Birth certificate issued by Hospital and minor certificate issued by Ministry of home affairs which has has been issued to get his passport ..

All these documents have same date of birth ...


I will be forwarding these documents along with an explnation letter and letter from CHC to CHC New Delhi on Sunday ..CHC will receive by Monday ..

Will my action will suffice the need of CHC New Delhi ?
Can anyone suggest me how long CHC will take to decide on my case ???

I think your action should suffice and you should get PPR in three weeks. Let us see

I live in US and I got the request from New Delhi VO to send my medicals and passport by Nov 7. My attorney says either I should send my passport with medicals by Nov 7 or send the medical alone and after my application is finalized I can send the passport.

1. I would like to know if we can send my Indian and my sons US passport to India while I am in US, if so how should I do that?
2. How many days or months it would take to get my passports back from canada embassy in New Delhi?
3. How can I get the passports back from India as canada embassy in New Delhi says they can only mail it to an Indian address and not anywhere else?
4. In case of emergency trip to India while my passport is in transit how can I get back my passport to make that travel?

Any prior experience or news heard from others or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in adavance.
