Hi Guys,

You all are doing really a good job. I am new to this thread and was going through all the threads so far and experiences shared.
I have also filled for Canada in April 2010 and waiting for Medical Request and want to be a part of this thread. Need to give details/dates about my application so that the owner can update it in the present table.
I have one question: What is this "File Transfer" date refer to? Is it the date when we submit our stage 2 docs?
And also the 2nd column "In Process".

File transfer = status in ECas update, after you have sumitted full docs-Stage 2. 4th point below.
for eg:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on xxxxx.
2. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on xxxxxxx. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
3. Your application and supporting documents were received by the New Delhi office. They are pending review.
4. We transferred your application to the New Delhi office on xxxxxxxx. The New Delhi office may contact you.
5. Your application was reviewed and we started processing on xxxxx.

In Process = Status in Ecas

i already got job there with some iBank in mississauga area.
I submitted my resume on workoplis and monster, than after some time i got several jobs notification.

Some jobs are required me to be there for an interview, some took my interview and said that they will issue me an offer once i arrive there, however one was happy to offer me a job offer without me being there.

i feel they offer me a job even when i am not in Canada becuz:-
1. I had multiple telephonic rounds, 1st tech round from mississauga, 2nd tech from shanghai, 3rd technofunctional from banglore, 4th functional in new york, 5th hr from Toronto, final Sr VP round in toronto.
So in any case i had to clear technical rounds telephonically remotely so it doesnt matter if am in canada or not.

2. i dont know why Canadian employer is crying for Canadian experience, but they do, i have 4-5 months of working exp in TD Securities, so it helped me a bit.

3. i have more than a dozen international certifications, thay valued by international employer more than my formal education, so it also helped me to get my resume shortlisted.

4. plus i have few international destination working exp on top iBanks, like barclays singapore, rbs london... so my previous investmentbanking expirnce actually helped me to get job in canada investment banks .

conclusion:- i feel jobs are ample for skilled person, and we all come under fed skilled category therefore i dont feel anybody of us will have problem in job hunting.

rest god may help us all..

You mentioned that you have already got a job in mississauga area. How did you manage this while you were still here. When did you start applying for jobs and what about interviews and all that ?? Thanks for sharing your thoughts brother.

If in Finance, what kind of international certifications do you have that helped you in getting this job. Thanks for sharing this info brother. It will help us prepare. This is just a receipt ...you may get additional medicals also , so be prepared for everything .

But Strictly speaking the reciept means nothing and I will not read into it much

If they have to send any medical furtherance letter then they usually send it with in fifteen days from the date when they recievce your original medical paper. As in my case I recd remedical letter for one of my family member exactly within 15 days.

Noticeable that D1 and D2 are more than 100 days, is this a pattern now? Any clue why there is sudden slowness ?

depends upon the backlog with central labortry as they are responsible for results of PRs , Students , TWPs , PNPs from India , Pakistan , Nepal , Bhutan .
