Hi Imran,

I also have 2 months notice period. I am planning to resign within same week of receiving VISA. I do not want to take chance with current job.

So advice will be to wait for VISA and then resign. You can check ur leave balance and accordingly reduce notice period. Check your HR policy......... Rgrds Vicky

Thanks Vicky for reply....Yeah I think i'll do the same as well....

Well I have my reasonable doubts on that as there were only two and a half working days last week...So good news should be expected next week only...Anyways good luck to all

Hi Guys,

I have and update...My agent has received a letter from CHC asking for the following....

1. Photographs of my Marriage
2. Proof of Funds.

They have given 30 days to provide all

I can understand the Requirement of Proof of funds...but I dont understand why are they asking for marriage photos when I have submitted my marriage certificate to them....

Does your wife's passport have the maiden name or having a different name after marriage?

I know a guy who was asked to submit wedding photographs and the reason why their consultant told them was it was because his wife's passport and other documents was having the maiden name and the visa office wants to check its authenticity. I dont know much, but it sounded sensible.

There can be some other reason too.

I guess sans is right....My wife did not change her name after marriage so pictures were asked from me as well secondly its been only 2 years since we are married so may be vintage of marriage could also be the reason for VO asking for wedding and post wedding pictures....

Thanks Sans & Gav for your Visa...

My wife's name in her passport uses her new name.. That is joined with My name and also we have each others name in spouse column of our passport. However one reason could be what Gav suggest, we only completed 2 years recently for our wedding.

How many photos should I send ? and specification of the photos ?

Well i sent 20 pics out which half were wedding ceremony pics and rest were post wedding including pics at home and holidays where 2 of us went .......you can do the same about 20-25 pics and the size recommended is 1 size larger than post card size.....this specifications and number of pics were told to us by the consultant.....I guess they ask for pics where the wedding is comparatively new and no children along with some other reasons....

All the best brother....hope we all see each other in canada soon....god bless

hi imran..

remember to send your wedding invitation too... do not give CHC an opportunity to delay the processing by asking for it after you send the photos.... ;) just a thought....

Hi Konda,

They did not stopped processing....The letter was dated 24th Dec 2010... Might be delayed in courier.
